It was “March 28, 1977 Boston performance” that was imbued with such a work. It is the superb audience recording. This is JETHRO TULL in 1977. Both the official Land Bar performance and Millard’s two works are in North America, but they all have different legs. This work was the 24th performance of “North America # 2” that started after the release of “SONGS FROM THE WOOD”.
This work recorded at such a show has super high sound quality that freezes the spine on impact. The strength of the core, the closeness with no distance, the fineness of the details, the beauty of the sound … all are overwhelming. It is definitely the No. 1 throne album in history even in the 1977 guest record. This is not the dimension of a normal “tour masterpiece”. After all, this tour is far from this work, despite the masterpiece of the legendary master Millard. In the first place, Millard was also a fan of JETHRO TULL, and he was so fond of studying the sound output and recording it many times. It transcends such a masterpiece.
I’m sorry to talk about Mirrored from earlier, but of course it wasn’t Mirrored who recorded this work. He is a recorder known by the name “Hezekiah x2”. His work is limited, so his name is not so high, but in fact, this person is a terrific master. For example, EL & P’s press board “DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1977 (Virtuoso 383/384)” and BAD COMPANY’s “BOSTON 1977 (Uxbridge 930)” are the people who have worked on one soulful super masterpiece. This work is one of the products that the prestigious “Krw_co” digitized the 1st Gene Reel of such a transcendental collection.
The wonderful world of “SONGS FROM THE WOOD Tour” is drawn with such a beautiful sound. The set is the same as the official Land Bar performance, but it’s also a good opportunity to organize it here.

Even so, the sound is amazing. Even if you don’t know a single JETHRO TULL song, this beautiful sound will melt your heart. Mike Millard has left a huge footprint in the history of recording even with a huge number of works, but from the perspective of “one height”, this work exceeds even Millard. A shocking masterpiece that raises the culture of “spatial recording from the audience” to the level of art. I chose Uxbridge in the hope that the Omoto Master will be excavated instead of the 1st Gene, but it is a cultural heritage that should be permanently preserved. It is the birth of a masterpiece that I would like you to correct your collar and face with all your spirits.

超絶級の新発掘が相次いでいる重鎮JETHRO TULLの“SONGS FROM THE WOOD Tour”。その大激戦を制して王座に君臨するであろう凄まじいライヴアルバムが登場です。
そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは「1977年３月28日ボストン公演」。その超極上オーディエンス録音です。1977年と言えば『SONGS FROM THE WOOD』のデラエディで公式化されたランドバー公演が象徴的ですが、オーディエンス録音でもマイク・ミラードの名作『LOS ANGELES 1977（Uxbridge 1063）』『PASADENA 1977（Uxbridge 1369）』が大いに話題となりました。そんな激戦区ツアーの中で本作のポジションはいかなるものなのか。“SONGS FROM THE WOOD Tour”の全景から振り返ってみましょう。

これが1977年のJETHRO TULL。公式のランドバー公演もミラードの２作も北米ですが、すべてレッグが違う。本作は『SONGS FROM THE WOOD』発売後に始まった「北米#2」の24公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウで記録された本作は、衝撃に背筋が凍るほどの超高音質。芯の力強さ、距離のない間近感、ディテールの細やかさ、鳴りの美しさ……すべてが圧倒的。1977年の客録でも間違いなく歴代No.1に輝く王座のアルバムなのです。これは普通の「ツアー代表作」等という次元ではありません。何しろ、このツアーはかの伝説名手ミラードの名作があるにも関わらず、本作には到底及ばない。そもそもミラードもJETHRO TULLのファンであり、その出音を研究して何度も録音するほど思い入れが強かった。そんな名作を超越しているのです。
先ほどからミラードの話ばかりで恐縮ですが、もちろん本作を記録したのはミラードではありません。「Hezekiahx2」なる名称で知られる録音家です。作品数が限られているので知名度はそれほどでもないのですが、実はこの人物もとんでもない名手。例えば、EL&Pのプレス盤『DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1977（Virtuoso 383/384）』やBAD COMPANYの『BOSTON 1977（Uxbridge 930）』など、１本入魂な超傑作を手掛けてきた人物なのです。本作は、そんな超絶コレクションの1stジェネ・リールを名門「Krw_co」がデジタル化した銘品中の銘品なのです。

それにしてもド肝を抜かれるサウンド。仮にJETHRO TULLを１曲も知らなかったとしても、この美音だけで心が溶かされることでしょう。マイク・ミラードは膨大な作品数でも録音史に巨大な足跡を残しているわけですが、“１本の高み”という視点なら本作はミラードさえも超えているのです。「客席からの空間録音」という得意な文化をアートのレベルに引き上げてしまう衝撃の名録音。1stジェネではなく大元マスターが発掘されることを祈ってUxbridgeとしましたが、本来であれば永久保存プレスが当然な文化遺産。襟を正して全霊で正対していただきたい名作の誕生です。
