Coupling recording of sound board live sound sources of two jazz festivals held in Europe in 2011 by Miles Tribute Band, which Marcus Miller summarized and Hancock and Shorter’s allies. Both have excellent sound quality. John Scofield will appear as a guest at the Vienne performance on July 12, and you will hear a hot guitar. “JEAN PIERRE” is a hip and funky performance with sampled voices. In contrast to the relatively funky Vienne performance, the Vitoria-Gasteiz performance on July 16th has a jazz-rock taste, from Miles’ acoustic era masterpieces to familiar songs by Electric Miles. Up to “FOOTPRINTS” is a medley style series of angry waves. The groovy bass riff of “DIRECTIONS” is so cool that even rock fans will be thrilled. Although there are videos that were broadcasted for both performances, the Vienne performance has terrible sound lag and skipping, so it is a coupling item with the sound source.
マーカス・ミラーがまとめ約、ハンコックにショーターの盟友揃い踏みのマイルス・トリビュート・バンドによる、2011年にヨーロッパで行われた二つのジャズ・フェスティヴァルのサウンドボード・ライヴ音源をカップリング収録。どちらも極上音質です。7月12日ヴィエンヌ公演ではジョン・スコフィールドがゲストで登場し、熱いギターを聴かせます。『JEAN PIERRE』はサンプリングされたヴォイスによりヒップでファンキーな好演。比較的ファンキーなヴィエンヌ公演に対し、7月16日のビトリア＝ガステイス公演はマイルスのアコースティック時代の名曲からエレクトリック・マイルスでお馴染みの曲までジャズ・ロックなテイスト大。『FOOTPRINTS』までは怒涛のメドレー形式の連奏です。『DIRECTIONS』のグルーヴィーなベース・リフはロック・ファンもシビレるのかっこよさ。この両公演は放送された映像もありますが、ヴィエンヌ公演の方は音ズレや音飛びがひどく、あえて音源でのカップリング・アイテムとなっております。
