This is a set of two press CDs that remastered the high-quality sound board sound source of Genesis’ three-day performance when Steve Hackett was enrolled as a sneak peek at the newly refurbished Rainbow Theater in 1977.
Remastered and coupled the broadcast sound source of the radio broadcast excerpted from the first and second days of the live that took place from January 1st to 3rd, 1977, and the sound board sound source that completely recorded the third day, respectively. Recording. In the live on the third day, the speech between the songs was partially cut and edited, but this editing realized the coupling of all the songs without cutting. From the beginning, the radio sound source has no speech between songs, so it is a natural cohesiveness in total. Furthermore, the radio sound source is recorded in monaural, and the board sound source is recorded in stereo, but the sound pressure etc. are carefully remastered so that you can enjoy it without discomfort. Rather than time slipping and experiencing the realism of the time, it is a live album with the concept of a preserved version of this historic three-day performance recorded with a high-quality sound board sound source.
This live is a sneak peek at the newly refurbished Rainbow Theater and at the same time the starting point for Genesis’ Wind & Wuthering tour. From this tour, the famous live board “Dazzling Super Live” was born, and it became the highest point of Genesis enrolled in Steve Hackett. Then, as time passed, in the fall of 2021 in about 45 years, Steve Hackett started the tour with his own band as well as the head family Genesis. In particular, Steve Hackett is a tour with “Dazzling Super Live”, and this title is a permanent preservation board that contains those origins.
Needless to say about the content of the live. The presence of Genesis at that time can be seen at the stage when it is left to remove the shavings of the Rainbow Theater. Dramatic song development, in-depth sound design, and the fierce battle between Phil Collins and Chester Thompson are a masterpiece and a must-listen for all rock fans.

1977年新装レインボウ・シアターのこけら落としとして行われたスティーヴ・ハケット在籍時ジェネシスの三日間公演の、高音質サウンドボード音源をリマスタリング収録したプレスCD二枚組です。
1977年1月1日から3日かけて行われたライヴの、初日と二日目から抜粋されたラジオ放送のブロードキャスト音源と、三日目を完全収録したサウンドボード音源をそれぞれリマスタリングしカップリング収録。三日目のライヴは曲間のスピーチを部分的にカット編集してありますが、この編集により楽曲はノーカットのまま全曲揃ってのカップリングが実現しました。元よりラジオ音源の方は曲間のスピーチが無いため、トータル的に自然なまとまりとなっています。更にラジオ音源はモノラル、ボード音源はステレオでの収録ですが違和感なく楽しめるよう音圧等丁寧にリマスタリング調整。タイムスリップし当時の臨場感を味わっていただくというよりは、この歴史的三日間公演を高音質サウンドボード音源で記録した保存版といったコンセプトのライヴ・アルバムです。
このライヴは新装レインボウ・シアターのこけら落としであると同時に、ジェネシスの『静寂の嵐』ツアーの出発点。このツアーから名ライヴ盤『眩惑のスーパーライヴ』が誕生し、スティーヴ・ハケット在籍ジェネシスの最高到達点となったわけです。そして時が流れて約四十五年の2021年秋、本家ジェネシスと時同じくスティーヴ・ハケットも自身のバンドを率いてツアーが始動。とくにスティーヴ・ハケットは『眩惑のスーパーライヴ』を冠したツアーとなっており、本タイトルはそれらの原点を収めた永久保存盤なのです。
ライヴの内容については言わずもがな。レインボウ・シアターのこけら落としを任せられている段階で当時のジェネシスの存在感がうかがえるというもの。ドラマチックな曲展開、綿密なサウンド・デザイン、フィル・コリンズとチェスター・トンプソンの壮絶な叩き合いは圧巻で、全ロック・ファン必聴です。
