“THE LAST DOMINO? Tour” of reunion GENESIS which finished the schedule of 2021. The latest report is decided to release two works at the same time. This work is the first one. This is the best audience recording of “November 19, 2021 Raleigh Performance”.
This tour is the first reunion in 14 years for GENESIS, and for the rock scene, it is the forerunner of a large-scale tour that has returned from the new Corona Pandemic. Currently, the sound source arrangement has started when the tour has settled down, but this work is a brand that is also a candidate for the best North American leg work as a preliminary report. 今回のツアーはGENESISにとって14年ぶりの再結成であり、ロック・シーンにとっては新型コロナ・パンデミックからの復帰した大型ツアーの先駆け。世界中の注目を集め、当店でも幾つかの名作ライヴ作品でレポートしてきました。しかし、今回の２作はこれまでとは（ちょっとだけ）違うもの。その意味をご説明するためにも、まずは現在までに公表されているスケジュールからおさらいしてみましょう。

これが“THE LAST DOMINO? Tour”の全体像。途中バンド内に新型コロナ・ウィルスの陽性反応が出たせいで一部の日程が2022年へ延期になりましたが、間もなく再開。先日、無事に2021年の全日程が終了しました。そして、当店でこれまでレポートしてきたのはツアー序盤の「英国#1」。それに対して今回のリリースはメインである「北米」レッグ。本作のローリー公演は、その４公演目にあたるコンサートです。
現在、ツアーが一段落したことで音源整理が始まったわけですが、本作はその速報にして北米レッグ最高作の候補ともなっている銘品。実際、そのサウンドは極上。同時リリースの『MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 2021（Amity 656）』が本当にサウンドボード的な超ダイレクト・サウンドなのですが、それに対して本作はわずかに吸い込んだホール鳴りが艶ときめの細やかさを演出するタイプです。こう書くと距離のあるボワボワ・サウンドを思い浮かべるかも知れませんが、そうではありません。芯の力強さもディテールの細やかさも十二分に「まるでサウンドボード」と呼べるのですが、そこにほんのりうっすら被った鳴りが気品すら漂わせている。言わば、芯丸出しのサウンドボードと言うよりは、磨き込まれたFM放送やオフィシャル作品風の美しさなのです。
