It was “February 22, 1978 Los Angeles performance” that was imbued with such a work. It is the superb audience recording. This is THE TUBES in 1977/1978. “WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM LIVE” was produced in “Europe # 1”, which was their first overseas tour, and was released in early 1978. The Los Angeles performance of this work was the 10th performance of the US tour “North America # 4” that started immediately after that.
It was completely unexpected that Millard was recording THE TUBES, but the sound was as expected. The extra-thick core, on-direct feeling, and delicate details are at the highest level, comparable to the official sound, and on top of that, it also has the reality and beauty of sound that cannot be achieved with a sound board.
