Amherst performance in 1982 appeared. Mike Stern is playing Nakanaga’s aggressive guitar. This was a concert held at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and was famous for a collector’s CD released long ago under the title of the university. It was a better audience sound source than the original. This time, we have removed the conspicuous hiss and edited the cheers of the nearby audience well. I think that the hiss noise reduction is divided into likes and dislikes depending on the taste of the listener, but this title was mastered so that the hiss noise does not bother you.

1982年のアマースト公演が登場。マイク・スターンが仲長アグレッシヴなギターを弾いています。これはマサチューセッツ大学アマースト校で行われたコンサートで、大学名を冠したタイトルで遥か昔リリースされたコレクターズCDが有名でした。元より良好なオーディエンス音源でした。今回は目立っていたヒスを取り除き、近い観客の声援もうまく編集してあります。ヒスノイズ・リダクションは聴く人の好みによって好き嫌い分かれるかと思いますが、本タイトルはヒスノイズが気にならないようマスタリングしました。
続々登場する最新アップグレード・ヴァージョン。80年代に入り精力的にコンサートを行っていたマイルスですが、マメにメンバー構成を変えておりどの時期もそれぞれの聴きどころがあり楽しみは尽きません。セットリストやメンバー構成、音質など踏まえ好みのものを選んでみてください。近年リマスタリングで大幅音質改善を極端に歌ったタイトルも散見されますが、当レーベルは比較的正直にアップグレード内容にも触れている為、その点も参考にしてみて頂ければ幸いです。
