In 1977, New York, which was held in conjunction with the announcement of the debut album, completely recorded the early show on October 5, the second day of the bottom line performance, with the finest stereo sound board recording. Like the late shows of the day before and the day before, it’s a 45-minute recording with a really nice stereo line recording, and it’s definitely a must-listen for fans. The set is the same as the late show, but you can enjoy a fascinating performance that makes you want to listen to any number of performances with such high quality. From the beginning, I was very impressed by the wonderful band performance of I Can’t Hold On, which started vigorously throughout the band, and Carla’s singing voice, which passed well. In the first MC after the two songs, Carla honestly said, “I’m happy to be in New York. It was scary a few days ago, but everyone knew they were wonderful people.” I can hear a slight snorting and coughing sound in front of Lose Again, but as far as I can hear the singing voice, the cold I had the day before seems to have healed quite a bit. The number hit by Linda Ronstadt also makes me feel a different charm from Linda’s version, and everything is a really wonderful listening place. Carla’s song and the back performance that complements the acoustic guitar are also wonderful, and you can fully enjoy the stage full of satisfaction with it, even though it is as short as 45 minutes per stage, with high quality sound. I can. This is a supreme piece that any Western music fan can enjoy.
★ This is a review summary of beatleg magazine vol.104 (March 2009 issue). For your reference.
Following “BOTTOM LINE 1977” introduced in beatleg Vol.101, this time as well, benefiting from “WOFGANG’S VAULT”, an early show was excavated from the show recorded on the second day. It would be a big surprise to see the time when her live recordings will be unearthed in such a cohesive manner. At this show as well, you can hear her wonderful performance that combines her refreshing singing voice with a lean backing performance. What’s more, it’s funny to talk about her tensions about coming to New York as she did the day before. It is a very good stereo line recording, and this time it is also a good sound source that you can listen to with confidence.
