“June 9, 1976 Hammersmith Odeon performance” is imbued in this work. It is a superb audience recording recorded in one act of “A TRICK OF THE TAIL Tour”. “A TRICK OF THE TAIL Tour” is a legendary tour with the former YES / KING CRIMSON hero Bill Bruford, and the UK tour is also famous for the official video “GENESIS: IN CONCERT”. [Symphonic first appearance master in the world] This is the 1976 GENESIS. It was a simple composition of “first half = North America / second half = Europe”, but the UK tour was divided into two with the continental European edition “Europe” leg in between. The official video “GENESIS: IN CONCERT” was shot at the final stage of the tour “UK # 2”, but the Hammersmith performance of this work is the opposite “Europe # 1”. It was also Lee’s first concert on the first day.
Recordings of such a show have been known for some time, but this work is a completely different original master released worldwide. The “Mike B” collection, which has been producing masterpieces of the finest quality so far, does not stain the gold signboard of this work. The feeling of air is clear and transparent, and a powerful core penetrates straight through the middle. What is surprising is its freshness. そんなショウは以前から録音も知られていたのですが、本作はそれとはまったく異なる全世界初公開のオリジナル・マスター。これまでも極上級の名作を連発してきた「Mike B」コレクションですが、本作もその金看板を汚さない……と申しますか、さらに一層輝かせる素晴らしさ。空気感がクリアに透き通り、そのド真ん中を力強い芯が真っ直ぐに貫く。驚きなのは、その鮮やかさ。１音１音の輪郭がくっきりと浮き立ち、音数の多い複雑なアンサンブルが折り重なっても混じり合ったりしない。しかも、その密度は手応えまで感じるほどにパンパンに詰まってスカスカ感がまるでなく、それこそレーザー光線のようなキリッとサウンドなのです。

The main press 2CD is a new masterpiece that allows you to experience 100% of “Bruford & GENESIS”, which was a miracle in the history of British prog. However, for collectors, if you say “1976 Hammersmith”, it will be remembered by the FM sound board. Therefore, we decided to add a special bonus to the highest peak master of traditional FM broadcasting.
“June 10, 1976 Hammersmith Odeon performance” is included in this work. Yes, it is a stereo sound board recording recorded the day after the main press 2CD. As a matter of fact, “A TRICK OF THE TAIL Tour” has a huge schedule of 6 consecutive days at Hammersmith Odeon, and the main press 2 is the first day. There was an FM broadcast on the second day.
Also, this show has long been famous for its FM broadcast by the American radio station “WBCN”, and is one of the classics that has produced many existing shows. Currently, a complete version of the sound board is also leaking, but this work is a different broadcast version. The broadcast version is about 51 minutes, which is considerably shorter than the full version, but the important thing is quality, not there. As a matter of fact, the broadcast version of this sound board is higher than the leaked complete version, and there are even boards that deliberately replace the FM broadcast version with the complete version sound board. Moreover, this work is a new master that has become a hot topic that the highest peak of the broadcast version has been updated. Furthermore, the selection and editing are professional like “WBCN”, and the work is solid. Although it is not a complete version, it is not a complete version, so it is a live album with a high degree of perfection like an official work.
Again, this work has neither the real pleasure of enjoying a full show nor the reality of witnessing a miracle scene. It is the monopoly of the main press 2CD. It is not the enemy of this work. However, this work has a completely official quality. そんな本作に収められているのは「1976年６月10日ハマースミス・オデオン公演」。そう、本編プレス２CDの翌日で記録されたステレオ・サウンドボード録音です。実のところ“A TRICK OF THE TAIL Tour”ではハマースミス・オデオンで６日連続という膨大な日程が組まれており、本編プレス２はその初日。FM放送があったのは２日目なのです。
そして、このショウは古くからアメリカのラジオ局“WBCN”によるFM放送が有名で、幾多の既発を生み出してきた定番中の大定番。現在では、完全版サウンドボードも流出しているのですが、本作はそれとは異なる放送版。放送版は完全版よりもかなり短い51分ほどなのですが、重要なのはそこではなくクオリティ。実のところ、このサウンドボードは流出完全版よりも放送版の方が上とされており、完全版サウンドボードにわざわざFM放送分を差し替えている盤もあるほど。しかも、本作はその放送版の最高峰が更新されたと話題になっている新マスター。名門「Krw_co」が発掘した名物番組“BRITISH BISCUIT”の放送前リール・トゥ・リールからダイレクトにデジタル化された至高の銘品なのです。
そのサウンドで描かれるのは、ブルーフォードによって生まれ変わった名曲群。前述のようにフルショウにはほど遠いわけですが、それでも約51分の尺は『IN CONCERT』よりも長く、アナログ時代のライヴ盤を彷彿とさせるボリューム。ここで、その内容を整理してみましょう。
