The DVD label “Black Lodge” series has appeared in the Necromancer series, which reissues the valuable titles of handmade labels for collectors, which were distributed only in a small part, from the official master who took over officially. Rare titles are re-appearing at affordable prices with reissue emblems.
A quartet of live footage of David Sanborn and Bob James, who met for the first time in about 27 years from the Grammy Award-winning 1986 hit album “Double Vision.” As expected in 2013, when digital broadcasting had already begun, the images are beautiful. Twenty-seven years after the Grammy Award-winning album, they released their co-starring album “Quartette Humaine”, and the drummer is Steve Gadd. Steve Gadd is also participating in this live released this time, and he is the same member as “Quartette Humaine” except for the drummer. It is a competition between Sanborn, who is also popular from the rock direction, and Bob James, who left behind many fusion masterpieces, but this work is a good title where you can enjoy authentic acoustic jazz.

グラミー賞受賞の1986年ヒット・アルバム『Double Vision』から約27年ぶりに顔を合わせたデイヴィッド・サンボーンとボブ・ジェームスの、カルテットによるライヴ映像。既にデジタル放送も始まっていた2013年とありさすがに映像は奇麗です。この二人は前述のグラミー受賞アルバムから27年経つのこの年にも共演アルバム『Quartette Humaine』をリリースしており、ドラマーはスティーヴ・ガッドが務めいています。今回リリースのこのライヴでもスティーヴ・ガッドが参加しており、ドラマー以外は『Quartette Humaine』と同メンバー。ロック方向からも人気のサンボーンと、フュージョン系の名作も多く残したボブ・ジェームスの競演ですが、本作はアコースティックな本格ジャズが楽しめる好タイトルです。
