　2007年「A BIGGER BANG」ツアーの終盤から8月18日のアイルランドはスレイン公演を収録。この日に関しては既にラトルスネイク盤「PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE」がリリースされておりましたが、今回は全く新たなオーディエンス録音マスターを当店が入手、トレーダー間にも一切出回っていない独自音源を使用したリリースが実現いたします。ラトルスネイク盤に使用されたオーディエンス録音はオンな音像の迫力が魅力であり、そのクリアネスと音質の良さから名盤扱いされていたものでした。それに対して今回の音源はラトルスネイク盤ほどの音圧には及ばないものの、奥行きのある音像と鮮度抜群の音質がオルタネイト・マスターとして十分に楽しめるものです。それにラトルスネイク盤は入手が容易ではありませんので、この公演を聴いてみたかった方にとっても絶好のリリースであることは間違いありません。
　奥行きのある音像が幸いして鑑賞の安定度も抜群です。ヨーロッパでのライブ特有な周囲の歓声や盛り上がりが煩わしいこともなく、またBステージでの音質の変化が少ないのも今回の音源の大きなアドバンテージでしょう。それに「A BIGGER BANG」ツアーの終盤ということで演奏は文句のつけようがありません。正に盤石の演奏が連発されるのですが、当店が現在進行形でリリースし続けている最新ヨーロッパツアーと奇しくも似通った選曲が多く、連日好調な演奏を披露し続ける現在のストーンズと七年前にツアー終盤を迎えやはり好調な演奏を披露していたストーンズの姿がダブる点が何とも面白いのです。
　現在ではライブの最後に演奏される「Satisfaction」がこの日はBステージで演奏されているのですが、演奏の勢いという点ではむしろ現在の方が上回っているのがまた面白いもの。さらに現在のようなサポート・メンバー削減ステージと同じような編成であるBステージでの演奏ですが、ここではむしろワイルドで無骨な演奏となっていました。これもストーンズらしいものです。それにバンドが盤石の状態ですので、例えば「Rough Justice」の間奏でキースが乱れようとも演奏全体がブレることは一切なく、それがツアー終盤のストーンズならではの頼もしさでしょう。それにキース自身のその間奏ですぐに取り直してみせるのも見事です。もっとも「It’s Only Rock’n Roll」のイントロにおける無駄にワイルドな（笑）弾き方は相変わらずでしたが。
　確かに純粋に音質の優劣では音が近いラトルスネイク盤に軍配があがりますが、今回のリリースによってキースの「Wanna Hold You」演奏終了後には彼のMCが聴かれなかったことが判明、さらにはラトルスネイク盤で微妙なカットがあった「Miss You」開始前のウォームアップ音が完全に収録されるなど、別マスターならではのマニアックな発見もあります。そんな貴重音源の限定のプレスCDでのリリースが決定しました。久々の2007年ツアーからのプレスCDです、どうぞお見逃しなく！
