In 1978, the performance in Paris on May 10th from the first European tour when the first album was released is completely recorded with one of the best ultra-high sound quality audience recordings. You can fully enjoy the masterpiece of Van Halen’s show at this time with the finest sound with outstanding separation that allows you to distinguish between each note of the bass. Along with Dave’s screaming vocals, you can enjoy Di’s ultra guitar performance with a direct sound, which you can only think of as amazing as this. A nice piece of music selection such as Voodoo Queen and Summertime Blues. It is one of the highly recommended pieces that you can enjoy the awesomeness of Van Halen’s live performance at that time with unprecedented power.

Recorded the performance in Paris on May 10, 1978 with an audience recording with good sound quality. The bass is powerful, and the guitar and vocals are clearly recorded. This is the first live performance of the European tour that took place just before the UK tour that started on May 16th as the undercard of Black Sabbath. Although it was live when the first album was announced, D.O.A and Bottoms Up !, which are included in the second album, are also playing. Voodoo Queen is the original song of “Mean Street” recorded in 1981’s fourth work “FAIR WARNING”, with a short drum solo inserted in the middle. Summertime Blues is a WHO cover with an arrangement that adds a flipping part to the ending.

1978年、ファースト・アルバム発表時の初のヨーロッパツアーより5月10日のパリ公演を、屈指の超高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録。ベースの一音・一音が聞き分けられる分離感抜群の極上サウンドで、この時期の圧巻のヴァン・ヘイレンのショウをたっぷりと堪能することができます。煽りまくるデイブのボーカルのと共に、改めて、ここまで凄かったのかと思うしかない、ディのウルトラ・ギター・パフォーマンスをダイレクトなサウンドで楽しめます。Voodoo QueenやSummertime Blues といった選曲も嬉しい一枚。当時のヴァン・ヘイレンのライブの凄まじさをこれ以上はない大迫力で楽しめる大推薦の１枚です。

1978年5月10日のパリ公演を、音質良好のオーディエンス録音で収録。ベースは迫力があり、ギターもボーカルもクリアに収録されている。ブラックサバスの前座として5月16日からスタートするUKツアーの直前に行われた初のヨーロッパ・ツアーのライヴだ。ファースト・アルバム発表時のライヴだが、セカンドアルバムに収録されるD.O.A、 Bottoms Up! もプレイしている。Voodoo Queenは1981年の4作目「FAIR WARNING」に収録される「Mean Street」の原曲で、途中に短いドラムソロが挿入されている。Summertime Blues はWHOのカバーで、エンディングに弾きまくりのパートを加えたアレンジになっている。
