The 1979 THE POLICE collection, which is also a rare best sound board fierce battlefield in rock history. A new masterpiece is participating in the first production.
Such a work was recorded on “April 4, 1979 New York City Performance (Late Show)”. It is the stereo sound board recording. Early THE POLICE has a large number of sound boards, but especially in 1979 it is enormous. Moreover, even in the same 1979, “OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR Tour” and “REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour” differ due to subtle differences in time, and the meaning changes greatly. … and it looks like this. With two press masterpieces at the top, outstanding masterpieces are lined up in a row, and this is the seventh work. The sound of this work blows away such a feeling while thinking that it is about time to eat. It is the highest peak master provided by an overseas researcher, and the DJ who talks about it is firmly recorded on the FM sound board broadcast on New York’s prestigious radio station “WNEW”. This creates an indescribable real-time feeling unique to FM broadcasting.
However, more important than that, the performance sound and vocals. Anyway, this is vivid and super vivid. If the core is also exposed, there is no feeling of processing such as effects. The balance that makes the cheers between songs feel like distant ripples, and the stereo feeling that blows away in a considerable width are more like a desk connection than an FM pavement. Moreover, the master freshness is also great. There is no dubbing trace in the clear contours, sharp edges, and glossy sound, and there is no vintage feeling. It’s just a glaring terra terra. It was introduced from the Uxbridge label because it is the 7th work from the same leg, but the sound quality itself is a superb product that can compete with the press masterpiece.
The set list that will be “Live version OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR” is familiar, so I will omit it, but this work is a complete live album that also includes “Can’t Stand Losing You” twice. After that, they will continue to produce historical masterpieces and masterpieces, but what flows out of this work is a live performance that is so powerful that even such brilliance is blurred. It is a sound board album that pours into the brain the aggressive rock suitable for calling it “raging”. A new masterpiece that will make your heart rate explode even if you have experienced the masterpieces so far. Please enjoy this time as much as you can.

……と、このようになっています。２作のプレス名盤を筆頭に錚々たる名作がズラリと並んでおり、本作で７作目となります。そろそろ食傷気味かと思いつつ、そんな気分を吹っ飛ばすのが本作のサウンド。海外の研究家から提供された最高峰マスターでして、ニューヨークの名門ラジオ局“WNEW”で放送されたFMサウンドボードで、その旨を語るDJもしっかりと収録。これが得も言われぬFM放送特有のリアルタイム感を醸してくれます。
しかし、それ以上に肝心要の演奏音とヴォーカル。こうがもう、とにかく鮮烈にして超生々しい。芯もムキ出しならエフェクトなどの加工感もまるでない。曲間の歓声が遠いさざ波に感じられるバランスも、かなりの幅で吹っ飛ぶステレオ感も、FM舗装というよりは卓直結系に近い感覚です。しかもマスター鮮度も絶大。克明な輪郭や鋭いエッジ、艶やかな鳴りにはダビング痕も見当たらなければヴィンテージ感も皆無。まさにギラッギラのテラッテラ。同じレッグから７作目という事でUxbridgeレーベルからのご紹介とはなりましたが、サウンド・クオリティそのものはプレス名盤と互角以上で渡り合える極上品なのです。
「生演奏版OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR」となるセットリストはお馴染みなので省略しますが、本作は２回の「Can’t Stand Losing You」も収録した完全ライヴアルバムです。その後も彼らは絶え間なく歴史的な名曲・名盤を生み出していくわけですが、本作から流れ出るのはそんな才気さえ霞んでしまうほどド迫力な生演奏。まさに「怒濤」と呼ぶに相応しいアグレッシヴなロックを脳内に流し込んでくれるサウンドボード・アルバムです。これまでの名作群を体験していてもなお、心拍数を爆上げしてくれる新名盤。どうぞ、今回も存分にご堪能ください。
