A compilation that summarizes the trajectory of the early “soft machine” that continued its activities by transforming from psychedelic in the 1960s to progressive rock to jazz rock.
Includes outtake-alternate versions of the album “II” after 1969, which strengthened the jazz-rock color after leaving Kevin Ayers, and “Third” in 1970, as well as studio sessions for radio broadcasting and soundtracks.
