The early Floyd reproduction project SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, which has been acclaimed in various countries even after the restart. The latest video is here.
This work was shot on “May 14, 2022: Randers performance (Denmark)”. That audience shot. Currently, they are touring for the first time in 3 years, and we have already reported on several live albums. However, the video edition will be in the beginning of 2022. There are some people who collect only the video, and it is a good opportunity, so let’s look back on the history so far and organize the representative video.

This is the history of SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, which has delighted the world’s progressive rockers. The above is just a video work, not all. We extracted only the masterpieces of each leg that you can witness the evolution process by eating a pinch. Under such circumstances, the Randers performance of this work was a concert on the first day of “Europe # 3”.
Also, “COPENHAGEN 2022 (Amity 677)”, which was well received in Denmark, is a new place in my memory, but this work is just before that. It seems that SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS goes well with Denmark, and there are a series of masterpieces. Let’s check the lineup here as well.

All 3 performances above. In fact, the video work “COPENHAGEN 2018: MULTICAM (Amity 476)” was born from the initial tour four years ago. At that time, it was a masterpiece that was called “the best masterpiece!”
And this work is a gem that follows the jinx of “Denmark is perfect”. The view from the stand on the 2nd floor looking down is irresistible. Actually, for a while after the performance, the shadows of the front row customers are reflected on the edge of the screen, so I can’t say “zero obstruction!”, But it’s just “not zero.” In the center of the screen, we sew between the heads of the front customers and look directly at the stage, and in the middle of the fifth song “When You’re In”, it changes all at once. The shadow of the customer in front disappears by zooming in between. It will be a magnificent view where the stage occupies the field of view.
Moreover, it is a good impression that it does not zoom any further. In the first place, SAUCER FUL OF SECRETS is not a type that attracts with the actions of members and the feats of fingertips, but psychedelic images and light shows are the real pleasure. Therefore, rather than making each person do-up, the distant view is immersed in a world of vivid colors that makes each song a visual angle. Furthermore, since the human eye does not have a zoom function, this stable angle also gives the show a realistic feel.
The whole picture of the latest tour is drawn with such visual beauty. As I have already told you many times, this is a Danish performance, so let’s reorganize it by comparing it with “COPENHAGEN 2018: MULTICAM” at the end.

Although I failed to write it because of its beauty, this work has the best sound. That’s as good as the masterpieces I’ve introduced so far, and even a live album with only audio can be released. You can think of it as a “live album with a scene” combined with simple camera work.
SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS is unlikely to come to Japan because of its too astringent concept. It is a video work that you can enjoy the latest tour with a superb view. Please experience the psychedelic and colorful world with this work.

再始動後も各国で絶賛を巻き起こしている初期フロイド復刻プロジェクトSAUCERFUL OF SECRETS。その最新映像が登場です。
そんな本作が撮影されたのは「2022年５月14日：ラナース公演（デンマーク）」。そのオーディエンス・ショットです。現在の彼らは３年ぶりのツアーを実施中で、当店ではすでに数作のライヴアルバムでレポート済み。しかし、映像編は2022年初となります。映像限定でコレクトされている方もいらっしゃいますし、良い機会でもあるのでこれまでの歩みをと-タルで振り返り、代表映像を整理してみましょう。

これが世界のプログレ者を歓喜させてきたSAUCERFUL OF SECRETSの歩み。上記はあくまで映像作品ですし、全部でもない。つまみ食いで進化の過程を目撃できる各レッグの代表作だけ抽出しました。そんな中で本作のラナース公演は「欧州#3」の初日にあたるコンサートでした。
また、デンマークというと好評を博した『COPENHAGEN 2022（Amity 677）』も記憶に新しいところですが、本作はその直前でもある。どうもSAUCERFUL OF SECRETSはデンマークと相性が良いらしく、傑作が連発してもいます。ここでそのラインナップもチェックしておきましょう。

以上の全３公演。実は４年前の初期ツアーからも映像作品『COPENHAGEN 2018: MULTICAM（Amity 476）』が誕生。当時「最高傑作！」と断じられるほどの名作でした。
そして、本作は「デンマークに外れなし」のジンクスに則った逸品。２階スタンドからやや見下ろしで捉えた光景がたまらない。実は開演からしばらくは前列客の影が画面端に映り込んでいるので「遮蔽物ゼロ！」とは言えないのですが、それは「ゼロではない」というだけ。画面中央は前方客の頭の間を縫ってステージを直視していますし、５曲目「When You’re In」の途中でさらに一気に変貌。合間からグイッとズームさせることで前方客の影が消滅。視界をステージが占領する絶景になるのです。
しかも、それ以上ズームしないのも好印象。そもそもSAUCERFUL OF SECRETSはメンバーのアクションや指先の妙技で魅せるタイプではなく、サイケデリックな映像やライト・ショウこそが醍醐味。そのため、１人ひとりドアップにするよりもやや遠景の方が１曲１曲を視角化する極彩色の世界に浸れる。さらに言えば、人間の眼にはズーム機能などはありませんから、この安定したアングルがショウの体リアルな験感にもなっているのです。
そんな映像美で描かれるのは、最新ツアーの全体像。すでにセットは何度もお伝えしている通りですが、せっかくのデンマーク公演ですので、最後に『COPENHAGEN 2018: MULTICAM』と比較しながら整理し直しておきましょう。
