弾き語りのステージは鍵盤類やアコギだけでなくエレキまで持ち出してメリハリに富んだサウンド。それこそプレスCDでもイケるほど素晴らしいクオリティ、そこで今回のリリースに際してアコギの音に微調整を加えたところ、さらに聞きやすい仕上がり。
ニールの最新ステージを最高の音質で楽しめるという点でも世界中のマニアから注目を集めるリリースとなることでしょう。
そんな世界中のマニアを騒然とさせている最新ツアーなのですが、初日に関してはその攻めの構成と意欲に自身のライブの勘が追い付いていないようで、ニールの凡ミスが散見されます。
中でもフィナーレ「Four Strong Winds」の迷走ぶりは久々のステージのブランクや年齢からくる凡ミスの感が否めず、そこはツアー初日らしい場面でありました。
その点、三日目のステージは堂々たる演奏ぶりが俄然際立っており、そこは初日との聞き比べが俄然楽しめる。
それに音質が非常に良いので初日からの進化ぶりもはっきり感じられるのですが、何よりもこの日に限って超レアな「Vampire Blues」を取り上げているときた。
ここではエレキ弾き語りの演奏となっていますが、その迫力満点な演奏の聞き応えは十分ですし、演奏が始まった時に沸き上がるオーディエンスの喜びようも微笑ましい。
さらにフィナーレが「Rockin’ in the Free World」の爆音弾き語りで締めくくられたのも今のところこの日だけであり、結果としてレアな二日間をカップリングした現時点での最強な内容でのリリースと相成りました。
先に触れた「If You Got Love」に「Vampire Blues」など、めくるめくセットリストだけでもあまりに魅力的なニールのライブ再開ツアーからさっそくの極上音源。マニアならこれは絶対に聞き逃せません！
