Introducing the tape “Mike Millard Tape” recorded by Mike Millard, a taper familiar to fans with the outstanding technology of audience recording. Several sound sources based on Mike Millard tape have been released from the same label, but if you look closely, there are two types, “Brushed Mike Millard Tape” and “Legendary Mike Millard Tape”. Did you notice that there is? Not all Mike Millard tapes have perfect sound quality, and some of them have room for improvement, and the “Brushed” series has been significantly improved. Originally, it was almost perfect and there was not much room for improvement, and the “Legendary” series was limited to light editing such as between songs.
This time, Linda Ronstadt appeared from the “Legendary” series, but this is a good recording that comes to the top of the mirrored recording. Vocal transparency just like a sound board. It has a powerful adjustment to the slightly slender sound, but it has a great sound quality. The set list is full of famous songs that anyone will know. Elvis Presley, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, etc., led by “Rogue” of the same West Coast comrade Eagles. His masterpiece “Heart Like a Wheel”, which is often covered by soul musicians, and the closing is Martha & the Vandellas’ soulful “Heat Wave”. There is no complaint! Unfortunately, some songs at the beginning of the live are missing, and the only drawback is that they are incomplete.

オーディエンス録音の卓越した技術でファンにはお馴染みのテーパー、マイク・ミラード氏により録音されたテープ『マイク・ミラード・テープ』登場です。同レーベルからマイク・ミラード・テープをマスターにした音源が複数リリースされておりますが、よく見ると『ブラッシュド・マイク・ミラード・テープ』と『レジェンダリー・マイク・ミラード・テープ』の二種類があることにお気付きでしょうか。マイク・ミラード・テープも全てが完璧な音質なわけではなく、中にはかなり手を加えて改良の余地があるものもあり、大幅に手を加えて改良されたものが『ブラッシュド』シリーズ。元々完璧に近く改良の余地があまり無く、曲間等の軽い編集にとどめてあるものが『レジェンダリー』シリーズとなります。
今回は『レジェンダリー』シリーズよりリンダ・ロンシュタッド登場ですが、これはミラード録音の中でもかなり上位に来る好録音。サウンドボードさながらのヴォーカル透明度。やや細身だったサウンドをパワフルに調整してありますが、素晴らしい音質です。セット・リストは誰が見てもどれかは知っているであろう有名曲目白押し。同じ西海岸の戦友イーグルスの『ならず者』を筆頭にエルヴィス・プレスリー、ニール・ヤング、ローリング・ストーンズ等。ソウル系ミュージシャンにカヴァーされることの多い自身の名曲『悪いあなた』、そして締めはマーサ&ザ・ヴァンデラスのソウルフルな『ヒート・ウェイヴ』です。文句の付け所がありません！と締めくくりたいところですが、残念ながらライヴ序盤数曲分が欠落しており、不完全である点が唯一の難点です。
