“LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR” which is highly acclaimed as “the strongest Greatest Hits of the history of MAIDEN” and “the return of ED HUNTER TOUR” all over the world. The latest live set is on sale.
It is contained in this work “Norje performance on June 7, 2018”. It is a triplet that puts audiences recording on disc 1 – 2 and audience shot on disc 3 when he appeared in one of Europe ‘s best festivals “SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 2018”. 【Disk 1-2: Best Superlative Full Love Album】

Even if the sound is “STOCKHOLM 2018” burr, the show is different. IRON MAIDEN So there is no change in the set, but the quality of the performance is overwhelmingly higher in this work! Although I mentioned in the explanation of “STOCKHOLM 2018”, the Stockholm performance was a show where remarkable mistakes were conspicuous. In “Sign Of The Cross”, did Adrian’s equipment boiler trouble have been found, or did he lose sight of progress? In the introduction of “Run To The Hills” it was a show of frustration that Dave could not hear the guitar riff. In contrast, this work is almost perfect! Of course, IRON MAIDEN is a genuine live band and does not play precisely like a machine, but there are no mistakes or trouble sorts. It’s like usual usual, professional show that you can hear.
In this way, the luxurious glamorous Greatest Hits will shine even more. Two great battle songs of “Aces High” and “Where Eagles Dare” are also cool, and “Revelations” produced in SE is also magnificent. “The Clansman” “Sign Of The Cross” which summarizes the era of Blaze, “Flight Of Icarus” revived for the first time in 32 years, litigation problem in the 21st century corner of “For The Greater Good Of God” & “The Wicker Man” “Hallowed Be Thy Name” etc. that came back after overcoming … etc … etc. You can experience a transcendent masterpiece rush that can only be called “the strongest gray test hits in the history of MAIDEN”.

【Disk 3: Full picture with full of experience experience】
It is a full audience shot that will let you experience the wonderful “SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 2018” at the scene. “STOCKHOLM 2018” also had video footage, but that gathered the best shots of each song. In contrast, this work is a full shot through 1 camera.
Diagonal shooting from the right side of the stage (Yannick side), you can not hope for close-up shots like pro shots, the type that reflects the arm that the front row swings up. However, from “Where Eagles Dare” you can see the stage directly, with a high viewpoint (stand on the table?). For a one-camera shoot, if you check the gimmick of each song, “STOCKHOLM 2018” is better, but the feeling of the workplace and experience is excellent! As mentioned earlier, although the disc 1-2 was “Do you wonder where the audience is?” The level of the direct blue ball recording, this work stands in the middle of a fan enthusiastic about one song. It is an image that makes you excited about the introduction of one song and makes you want to raise your voice.
Also, the European feeling that bleeds out is delicious. In June of Sweden, white water is close and even at headliners it opens under bright conditions almost like daytime. Here’s a delicious “Aces High” huge fighter plane. The images of each performance are on sale for too shocking directing, but most of it is dark. “There is a fighter aircraft unexpectedly”, but this work is clearly seen as a scene where a fighter aircraft comes out when the work is bright.
Midfield is more moving than that. The scene where it was bright all the time suddenly gets dark from around ‘Revelations’. If you have participated in the summer festival in Europe I think that you will come with a pin, but you can experience the sensation of that dramatic darkness. And, at that time, the great song “For The Greater Good Of God” is played. What a dramatic … …. Probably it is calculated completely. A perfect sight including the sun even in the production. As expected it is truly an IRON MAIDEN.

Such a picture is also good, but again Todome is the top recording of Disc 1-2. I do not know if a soundboard or an official live album will appear from “LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR”, but if this work is okay if it does not come true. So much like a soundboard, superb superb comparable to the official work. And it is the best live album. And experience pictures that convey the scene of the scene. 本作に収められているのは「2018年６月７日Norje公演」。欧州屈指のフェス“SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 2018”に出演した際のオーディエンス録音をディスク１-２に、オーディエンス・ショットをディスク３に配した３枚組です。ロッド・スモールウッドは2019年も“LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR”が続くと語っていますが、今年の夏はヨーロッパのみ。まずは、現在進行形のツアー概要を確認しておきましょう。

これが現在までに発表されている日程。現在、第一報レポートとなった『STOCKHOLM 2018（Shades 927）』が大好評を博しておりますが、あれはツアー４公演目。それに対し、本作は７公演目のオーディエンス・セットなのです。それでは、各ディスクを詳しくご紹介していきましょう。

【ディスク１-２：絶好調の超極上フルライヴ・アルバム】
まず登場するのは、現在ネットを騒がせている超極上のオーディエンス録音。これが本当に凄い。実は『STOCKHOLM 2018』と同じ録音家によるもので、今回もまた超極上のサウンドボード級なのです。現場の生々しい空気感に客録の証拠が刻まれてはいるものの、肝心の演奏／歌声はサウンドボードにしか聞こえない。“SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL”が野外フェスということもあり、壁や天井から跳ね返る音が一切ない。もちろん、ＰＡから距離があったら台無しになるわけですが、本作にはその心配もない。超密着なサウンドをダイレクトに収録しているのです。
そんなサウンドボード感をさらに高めているのが、極少のオーディエンス・ノイズ。本作の歓声はド級ダイレクトな演奏音に対して、異様なほど小さくささやかでしかない。『STOCKHOLM 2018』では間近の合唱も多少はあったものの、本作にはまったくと言って良いほどないのです。恐らく、本作はステージから遠く離れたＰＡ塔の近くで録音されたのではないでしょうか。ステージ前の熱狂・狂乱から遠く離れながら、ライン直結のようなサウンド……これをオーディエンスで実現しようとしたら遠くのＰＡ塔しかあり得ない。つまり、この録音家は間近で観る可能性をかなぐり捨ててまで美録音にこだわってくれたわけです。
サウンドは『STOCKHOLM 2018』ばりであっても、ショウは違います。IRON MAIDENですからセットに変更はないのですが、演奏のクオリティは本作の方が圧倒的に上！　『STOCKHOLM 2018』の解説でも触れましたが、ストックホルム公演は豪快なミスが目立ったショウでした。「Sign Of The Cross」ではエイドリアンの機材煮トラブルがあったのか、進行を見失ったのか、中盤でボロボロ。「Run To The Hills」のイントロではデイヴからギターリフが聞こえないという失態のショウだったのです。それに対し、本作はほぼ完璧！　もちろん、IRON MAIDENは生粋のライヴバンドであり、機械のように精密に演奏するわけではありませんが、ミスやトラブルの類はなし。いつもの彼ららしい、絶好調でプロフェッショナルなショウを聴かせてくれるのです。
こうなると、豪華絢爛のグレイテスト・ヒッツが一層輝く。「Aces High」「Where Eagles Dare」の大戦ソング２連発もカッコ良く、ＳＥで演出される「Revelations」も実に壮大。「For The Greater Good Of God」＆「The Wicker Man」の21世紀コーナー、ブレイズ時代を総括する「The Clansman」「Sign Of The Cross」、32年ぶりに復活した「Flight Of Icarus」、訴訟問題を乗り越えて戻ってきてくれた「Hallowed Be Thy Name」等々など……。“MAIDEN史上最強のグレイテスト・ヒッツ”と呼ばれるだけはある超絶な名曲ラッシュを思う存分体験できるのです。

【ディスク３：体験感満点のフル映像】
続いて登場するのは、素晴らしすぎる“SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 2018”を現場体験させてくれるフルのオーディエンス・ショットです。『STOCKHOLM 2018』にも映像編がありましたが、そちらは１曲ごとのベスト・ショットを集めたもの。それに対し、本作は１台のカメラによるフルショウ通し撮影です。
ステージ右側（ヤニック側）からの斜め撮影で、プロショットのような接写は望めず、前列が振り上げる腕も映り込むタイプ。ただし、「Where Eagles Dare」からはナゼか視点が高くなり（台の上に立った？）、ステージを直視できます。ワンカメ撮影のため、各曲の仕掛けを確認するなら『STOCKHOLM 2018』の方が上手ではあるのですが、この現場感・体験感は絶品！　前述したようにディスク１-２は「観客はどこ？」レベルのド直球録音だったものの、本作は１曲１曲に熱狂するファンのただ中に立つ。１曲１曲のイントロに胸躍らせ、声を上げたくなる映像なのです。
また、滲み出すヨーロッパ感覚も美味しい。スウェーデンの６月は白夜が近く、ヘッドライナーでもほぼ昼間のように明るい中で開演するのです。ここで美味しいのが「Aces High」の巨大戦闘機。あまりに衝撃的な演出のために各公演の映像が出回っていますが、そのほとんどは暗闇。「いつの間にか戦闘機がいる」という感じなのですが、本作は明るい中でヌーッと戦闘機が出てくるシーンもハッキリと観られます。
それ以上に感動的なのが中盤。それまでずっと明るかった現場が「Revelations」辺りから急に暗くなり出す。ヨーロッパの夏フェスに参加されたことのある方ならピンと来ると思いますが、あの急激に暗くなる感覚がハッキリ体験できる。そして、その時刻に演奏されるのは、かの大曲「For The Greater Good Of God」。何とドラマティック……。恐らく完全に計算ずくなのでしょう。太陽までも演出に盛り込んだ完璧な光景。さすが、さすが百戦錬磨のIRON MAIDENです。

そんな映像も良いですが、やはりトドメはディスク１-２の極上録音。“LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR”からサウンドボードや公式ライヴアルバムが登場するかは分かりませんが、もし叶わなかったとしても本作があれば大丈夫。それほどまでにサウンドボード的で、オフィシャル作品にも匹敵する超極上。そして絶好調のライヴアルバムです。そして、その現場の光景を伝えてくれる体験映像。ツアーを代表してしまうであろう超傑作、どうぞ存分にご堪能ください！
