The final performance of the legendary London Hammer-Smith Odeon on July 3, 1973 when David Bowie announced a farewell to “Ziggy Stardust”. At the end of the concert, he announced that he would retire, saying, “This is the last show.” A part of the video was also edited and released to the public on a limited basis. However, the sound source was edited short and the two songs co-starred with Jeff Beck, who appeared as a guest, were also incomplete. After that, in 2003, as a commemoration of the 30th anniversary, a re-edited remix and video restoration were performed, but unfortunately the contents remained incomplete. And the complete concert version STARMAN edition with the latest remix in 2023, which will be the 50th anniversary, is finally here! This latest version is a unique latest re-edited based on multiple sound sources such as the monaural sound board sound source leaked from the engineer known as the longest recording of the concert, the original film sound source, and the remastered sound source that has been performed several times although it is incomplete. Complete recording of all songs in concert with remix. Although there have been releases as a complete version so far, there are some imperfections, variations in sound quality and editing content, etc. This time, the full-length recording of the best quality restored sound source improved such problems. Officially, the performance and vocals, which had been additionally replaced and overdubbed, were recorded based on the straight original sound as much as possible, but the performance was changed from monaural with a narrow range that was in the leaked sound source to real stereo with a three-dimensional effect. It is an enlarged and revised version that has increased dynamism. Also included is the longest uncut version of the member introduction and the final speech, including the incomplete editing of “Circular Orbital Width”. In addition, an unedited version of the intro speech before the performance, the undercard performance by Mike Garson’s piano, and the opening of the ninth is additionally recorded. Co-starring with Jeff Beck, who has been attracting attention, is a newly edited sound source containing two songs that are longer than the recently released movie. The 50th anniversary 2023 STARMAN edition with the original latest edited remix sound source of the overseas network’s own route, which is different from the many sound sources released by distribution and download. A 2-disc set of direct import press CDs that have been reproduced as a complete version literally with the latest remix of “Ziggy Stardust’s Last Concert”, which has been released with twists and turns so far! !

デヴィッド・ボウイが”ジギー・スターダスト”への決別を表明した伝説の１９７３年７月３日ロンドン・ハマ－スミス・オデオン最終公演。コンサート終盤に「これが最後のショウ」と引退宣言して幕を閉じたこの日の公演はライブ・レコーディングされ映画撮影も行われ当初ライブ・アルバム『BOWIE-ING OUT』として翌年リリースが予定されながら中止となり映像もその一部が編集され限定的に公開されるに留まっていた｡８３年になって初めてビデオ化されサウンドトラック・アルバムもリリース。但しその音源は短く編集されゲスト出演したジェフ・ベックとの共演２曲も未収録の不完全な内容であった。その後２００３年には３０周年記念として再編集リミックスと映像修復が行われたが残念ながら不完全な内容のまま。そして５０周年記念となる２０２３年最新リミックスによるコンサート完全版ＳＴＡＲＭＡＮエディションが今回遂に登場！この最新版はコンサートの最長収録として知られるエンジニア流出のモノラル・サウンドボード音源はじめオリジナル・フィルム音源さらに過去不完全ながら幾度か行われたリマスター音源といった複数の音源を元に再編集した独自の最新リミックスでコンサートを全曲完全収録。これまでにも完全版としたリリースはあったものの一部不完全であったり音質や編集内容のバラつき等があり今回そうした問題を改良したベスト・クオリティの修復音源で全編収録。公式では追加で差し替えやオーバーダブが行われていた演奏やボーカルは極力ストレートなオリジナル・サウンドをベースに収録しながらも流出音源にあった音域の狭いモノラルから立体感溢れるリアル・ステレオに変更され演奏自体も躍動感を増した増補改訂版となっている。またこれまで不完全な編集があった「円軌道の幅」はじめメンバー紹介や最後のスピーチもノーカットの最長バージョンで収録。さらに開演前のイントロ・スピーチやマイク・ガーソンのピアノによる前座演奏、第九のオープニングも未編集バージョンが追加収録されている。注目のジェフ・ベックとの共演も近年公開された映画よりも長いオリジナル通りの２曲が新編集音源で収録。配信やダウンロードで公開されている数ある音源とは異なる海外ネットワーク独自ルートのオリジナル最新編集リミックス音源による５０周年記念２０２３年ＳＴＡＲＭＡＮエディション。これまで紆余曲折のリリースが続いた”ジギー・スターダスト最後のコンサート”を最新リミックスで文字通り完全版として再現した永久保存の直輸入盤プレスＣＤ２枚組！！
