Halls & Oates in the “CHANGE OF SEASON” era, reexamining its roots. A new sound excavation is a shockboard album that packs such moments in a vacuum packed with transcendental quality.
Included in the shocking work is “Upper Derby Performance on February 17, 1991”. A new excavation stereo sound board recording recorded in the famous venue “Tower Theater” (“Tower Theater” is famous worldwide as a venue in Philadelphia, but the exact location is adjacent to the city border Upper derby side). The biggest impact of this work is in the sound quality of tremors, but first of all it is the show position. “CHANGE OF SEASON TOUR” is a large-scale tour that lasts for two years and has been realized twice. Let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the whole picture.
ルーツを見つめ直した『CHANGE OF SEASON』時代のホール＆オーツ。そんな刹那を超絶のクオリティで真空パックした衝撃のサウンドボード・アルバムが新発掘です。
その衝撃作に収められているのは「1991年２月17日アッパーダービー公演」。伝統の名会場“タワー・シアター”で記録された新発掘のステレオ・サウンドボード録音です（“タワー・シアター”は世界的にフィラデルフィアの会場として著名ですが、厳密な所在地は市境に隣接したアッパーダービー側）。本作最大の衝撃は何と言っても震撼モノのサウンド・クオリティにあるわけですが、まずはショウのポジション。“CHANGE OF SEASON TOUR”は丸２年に及び、二度の来日も実現した大規模ツアー。その全体像を俯瞰してみましょう。
