Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers & Ann Wilson / San Diego 2018 / 3DVDR / Uxbridge Translated text: Live at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre, Chula Vista, CA, USA 22nd July 2018 Click Image ToEnlarge 重鎮３人による超豪華カップリング・ツアー“STARS ALIGN TOUR 2081”。その現場を極上体験できる傑作映像が登場です。 本作に刻まれているのは「2018年７月22日サンディエゴ公演」。“STARS ALIGN TOUR”は７月18日から８月26日まで全27公演で北米をサーキットしており、本作はその４公演目にあたる。３組のオーディエンス・ショットをそれぞれディスク１枚ずつに配して完全収録した３枚組です。それでは、各アーティストの映像を個別にご紹介していきましょう。 【ディスク１：アン・ウィルソン】 まず登場するのはアン・ウィルソン。“STARS ALIGN TOUR”は基本的にジェフ＆ポールがダブル・ヘッドライナー。アンはオープニング・アクト的な立場で、彼女だけ持ち時間も約45分ほどでした。オープニングだけに日の高い時間帯の出演で、まだ客席もまばらな状態での開演となりました。 そんなショウを収めた本作のクオリティは、目を見張るほどに極上のオーディエンス・ショット。開始早々、右斜めからステージ全景を捉えたアングルが目に飛び込みますが、それも束の間。どんどんズームしていき、撮影ポジションが分からないほど接近していく。実際、近寄っても近寄ってもまだズームが続き、「どこまで寄るんだ!?」と思うほど。結局、アンのバストアップが画面からハミ出し、マイクに吠える歯並びまでハッキリ分かるほどのドアップまで迫る。ワンカメ・オーディエンスにも関わらずプロショットにも負けない見応えなのです。 そのクオリティで描かれる熱演が素晴らしい！　ジェフやポールはキャリアを総括するようなセットでしたが、アンはカバー主体。オリジナルは「Barracuda」とソロの「Fool No More」に留め、他はすべてカバーソング。そのラインナップも多彩で、THE WHOの「The Real Me」「Won’t Get Fooled Again」を配し、その合間にYESの「Your Move」やTHE BLACK CROWESの「She Talks to Angels」を披露していく。中でも注目なのは発売迫る新作『IMMORTAL』の収録曲。このアルバムは近年亡くなったミュージシャン達へ捧げられており、本作でも2015年に亡くなったレスリー・ゴーアの「You Don’t ...
