Focusing on genres such as jazz and blues, which had few collector’s items at the time, the valuable titles of the BMM label, which was extremely popular with fans, are now available in the regular low-priced reissue series Necromancer.

Recorded a performance by Cannonball Adderley Quintet on November 4, 1972 in Vienna, Austria. It is the “Black Messiah” period, which is one development from the masterpiece live album “MERCY, MERCY, MERCY”. Brother Nat Adderley, also known as Cannonball, and George Duke, who later supported the jazz rock band Zappa, will replace Joe Zawinul. As soon as George Duke played the electric piano, the jazz rock color became darker, and the groove running between jazz and rock was cool. The set list does not say “Directions” or “Mercy Mercy Mercy” to Duke’s “Black Messiah”. Moreover, the sound quality is a must-have item for jazz fans and jazz rock fans when it comes to the best stereo sound board.

キャノンボール・アダレイ・クインテットによる1972年11月4日オーストリアのウィーンでの公演を収録。名作ライヴ・アルバム『MERCY, MERCY, MERCY』からのひとつ発展させた『ブラック・メシア』期です。キャノンボールことジュリアン・アダレイにブラザー・ナット・アダレイ、そして 後のザッパバンドのジャズロックを支えるジョージ・デュークがジョー・ザヴィヌルに代わって参加。ジョージ・デュークがエレピを弾いた途端にジャズ・ロック色が濃くなり、ジャズとロックの狭間で疾走するグルーヴはかっこいいことこの上なし。セットリストもデューク作“ブラック・メシア”に“ディレクションズ”“マーシー・マーシー・マーシー”と言う事ありません。しかも音質は極上ステレオ・サウンドボードとくればジャズ・ファン、ジャズ・ロック・ファンには外すことのできないマストアイテムという事なのです。
