Springsteen’s latest world tour, which was announced almost a year ago and started from the US tour in February, is continuing after moving the stage from Barcelona on April 28th to Europe.

ほぼ一年近く前から告知され、満を持して2月のアメリカ行程から開始されたスプリングスティーンの最新ワールド・ツアーは4月28日のバルセロナからヨーロッパへと舞台を移して続行中です。
音源に関してはすべてのショウが間を開けずリアタイでリリースされ続けていますが、各地で話題を呼んでいる割に映像に関しては思いのほか乏しいのが現状。
もちろん当日の動画なら大量にアップロードされているのですが、そうした安易な映像とは一線を画す見事なマニア編集でそのバルセロナの映像をまとめてくれたのが今回のリリース。

オープニングの「No Surrender」がいきなりプロショットから始まるので「えっ？」と驚かされることでしょうが、これはニュース映像からの流用で、途中から当日の客席から撮影されたオーディエンスショットへと切り替わります。
もちろん単に切り替わるのではなく、YouTube上に現れたさまざまな画像を駆使してマルチアングルに仕立てたもの。
その後も「Prove It All Night」や「The Promised Land」で部分的にプロショットが登場しますが、それらもまたニュースで断片的に放送されたものにすぎず、メインはあくまで客席から撮影された動画。

しかし編集が実に素晴らしく、マルチアングルで見られるおかげで長時間に及んだステージがまるで退屈せずに楽しめてしまう。
それどころか曲によってはプロショットも真っ青なクローズアップでブルースを捉えてくれている場面が多々あり、例えば「Nightshift」でのカーティス・キングとの絡みや「Mary’s Place」などは、それこそ自分がスタジアムの最前列からブルースを見ているかと錯覚しそうになるほど生々しい近さ。
それにこの日は現時点で唯一の「Human Touch」がツアーで披露された訳だったのですが、その真剣な演奏ぶりやブルースのじっくりと歌いこむ様子も見事なアングルでまとめられていて見応え十分。
おまけにライブ終盤「Born In The U.S.A.」ではその就任に力を貸したオバマ元大統領がライブを鑑賞しに来ている姿が捉えられている。そこで次の「Glory Days」になると彼の妻のミシェルがブルースの妻、パティ・スキャルファに連れられてステージに上がり、一緒にバックコーラスを務めるという微笑ましい場面も見事なアングルで捉えてくれている。

このように見どころの連続と呼べるバルセロナ初日を飽きのこない編集でまとめてくれた秀逸なライブ映像には、もちろんライブ終了後に速攻リリースされたステレオ・サウンドボードをきっちりシンクロ。
もはやプロショットも驚かされんばかりの見事な編集に音質も最高という最強な仕上がりとなったおかげで、もはやフツーのライブビデオと遜色なく楽しめてしまう驚きの2023年最新ステージの映像でレアな「Human Touch」の場面もばっちり。
今回のツアーは曲間をほとんど開けず、なおかつMCも少なめに演奏をガンガン進める構成が話題を呼んでいますが、そんな老いてますます盛んなブルースの今を見せつけてくれる見事なマニア編集の最新映像にして今年を代表する一本になること間違いなし！
