The first visit to VAN HALEN legend that celebrated 40th anniversary this June. That’s their …… No, rock ultimate Daimyo board is brushed up and reprinted. It appears in permanent preservation press CD.
That ultimate board is “22 June 1978: Nakano Sansuraza” performance. VAN HALEN This is the ultra-superb audience recording that recorded the legendary first visit to Japan. This recording is different from Sonjyotsuko’s customer record. No, super board with lots of live boards of many bands, including soundboards, no one line up with the number of stars. It is a classic recording that was partly recorded in the boot leg such as “ATOMIC PUNK” and “ERUPTION IN TOKYO” but this work is its perfect · best board. Actually, from the original · cassette recorded by the famous taper who recorded with the historical masterpiece such as “BRITISH PRIDE” by Eric Clapton, “MOVING FINGER” by Jeff Beck, “DOME ON WHEELS” by Rolling Stones It was digitized directly. The first appearance of the first Zodiac label “TOKYO’S ON FIRE” caused its sharp sounds and the scale feeling of full recording shocked.
Actually, that sound is abnormal. Direct feeling like plunging the plug into the ear, comfortable to feel the unevenness of the guitar strings. There are a few audience recordings that can be called “sound board”, perfect sound so far is not so. While it is line-like to that extent, it also has the vividness of the audience. If you compare this, it seems like you are present at a studio recording the century ‘s famous name “Fire fuse line”. That, too, adds hyper tension to this real stage. “TOKYO’S ON FIRE” is sold out and out of print in a blink of an extraordinary only as much as that. The 2nd edition was also released, but it also disappeared from the market.
And this work will be its 3 rd edition. It’s not just re-press, it is the highest-ranking board that brushes up with the latest and meticulous remastering. The mastering concept is “sound board feeling”. As mentioned earlier, although it is a soundboard-like recording originally, this work has made it even more. Detail stands out clearly without slight cloudiness, direct feeling approaches “touch close” from the “front” to touch level. Of course, I also inhale the realistic feeling of the site of the first visit to Japan, I do not force press equalizing forcibly. It is the vividness realized by just carefully arranging each range from treble to heavy bass and there is no crushing or distortion of the peak at all.
The show which it revived with such a sound is the splendor that it is wanted to say that it is “the best masterpiece of rock” that it exceeds the band of one band. I wrote as “add stage and tension to the flame fuse line”, but that is different from just real production tension. It has created a revolution in both home country and Europe, and finally landed in Asia, unknown. Let’s look back to the position of the show from the schedule of the first visit to Japan.

Over all, nine performances. This work was the 4th performances which came in the middle of it. A sense of proof of their music and a sense of fulfillment which is gaining acceptance grandly, with front of the black hair sea which I would have seen for the first time in front. Everything up to here is a show in Tokyo, and there is even confidence that we already promised to get big. Many bands talk about the success of the Japanese performance as a proof of success, but what is packed in this work is that ideal form.

Although it is VAN HALEN who produced a lot of masterpieces in a long history, “Fire fuse line” was still a once-in-a-miracle. This recording is also a miracle. No matter how many hundreds or thousands of recordings are left there is only one name recording.
Of course, the value of the “truth” of the original cassette engraved on the original edition is not faded yet, but this work focuses on that “possibility”, a gem that has thoroughly polished. It is the birth of a defining board suitable for 40th anniversary anniversary.

この6月に40周年を迎えたVAN HALEN伝説の初来日。そんな彼らの……いえ、ロック究極の大名盤がブラッシュ・アップされて復刻。永久保存プレスCDで登場です。
その究極盤とは「1978年6月22日:中野サンプラザ」公演。VAN HALEN伝説の初来日を記録した超・極上のオーディエンス録音です。この録音は、そんじょそこらの客録とはわけが違う。いえ、サウンドボードを含め、幾多のバンドのライヴ盤が星の数あろうとも並ぶ物がない超名盤。古くから『ATOMIC PUNK』や『ERUPTION IN TOKYO』といったブートレッグに一部が収録されてきた定番録音なのですが、本作はその完全・最良盤。実は、エリック・クラプトンの『BRITISH PRIDE』やジェフ・ベックの『MOVING FINGER』、ローリング・ストーンズの『DOME ON WHEELS』といった歴史的大傑作と記録した名テーパーの手による録音で、そのオリジナル・カセットからダイレクトにデジタル化されたもの。初登場となったZodiacレーベルの第1弾『TOKYO’S ON FIRE』は、その瑞々しいサウンドとフル収録のスケール感が衝撃を巻き起こしたのです。
実際、そのサウンドは異常。耳にプラグを突っ込んでいるようなダイレクト感、ギター弦の凹凸まで感じられるような克明さ。「まるでサウンドボード」と呼べるオーディエンス録音は数あれど、ここまで完璧なサウンドはそうはない。そこまでライン録音的でありながら、オーディエンスならではの生々しさも宿っている。これを喩えるなら世紀の大名盤『炎の導火線』を録音しているスタジオに同席しているような感覚。それも、本生ステージのハイパーテンションを上乗せして。それだけの超名盤だけに『TOKYO’S ON FIRE』は瞬く間に完売・廃盤。2ndエディションもリリースされましたが、それも市場から姿を消してしまいました。

長い歴史で名作の数々を生み出したVAN HALENですが、それでも『炎の導火線』は一度きりの奇跡でした。この録音もまた、その奇跡。何百・何千の録音が残されていようとも、たった1本だけの名録音なのです。
