This is Tom Petty in 1982/1983. We have introduced three live albums so far, but the most important one is the four-disc masterpiece “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983 (Uxbridge 1425)”. It was a great masterpiece that was said to be “Mirrored recording!?” Actually, this work is also the “markp” collection. It is a full live album that tells the 5th performance of “North America # 3” about two months after the previous work “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983”.
“The sound is truly a masterpiece of a master.” I don’t mistake it for a sound board because I’m also sucking in fresh enthusiasm, but I want to make a mistake in listening and listening. The extremely thick core has no feeling of scalyness, and it delivers a direct feeling while wearing a slightly slight hall sound. Along with that, the details are clear, and the enthusiasm of the scene is overwhelmed by the extremely thick performance sounds and singing voices, and even if you can feel the heyday of summer, it does not interfere with the music. Can it surpass the miraculous “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983”? I’m at a loss, but it’s a wonderful sister work that is definitely close.
A full show with such a sound is different from the previous work “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983”. As mentioned above, the previous work was a record of “North America # 2” at the end of the tour main part, but this work’s “North America # 3” is a mini tour that was added after more than a month. The set has also changed quite a bit. Let’s organize them by comparing them here.

・Long After Dark: You Got Lucky/Change of Heart/A One Story Town

… and it looks like this. In general, it leads to “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983″, but various rare songs are included in between popular songs. The early originals such as “Rockin’ Around (With You)”, “Strangered in the Night”, and “What Are You Doin’ In My Life” are delicious, but more than that is a variety of cover groups. In “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983”, the cover, which was only 3 songs in 2 performances, behaves as 6 songs in this work. Moreover, not only the amount but also the rarity is enormous, Chuck Berry’s “Jaguar And Thunderbird” is a surat performance on this day, and THE VALENTINOS’s “It’s All Over Now” is playing only a few fingers. Gram Parsons’ “I Can’t Dance” is an extremely rare song that can only be heard in this work before and after.
A mini tour “North America #3” full of rare songs was realized only after the end of the main tour. This is a hidden treasure album where you can fully experience the fun performances that are known to those in the know with the master’s superb sound. A 2-disc set that is wonderful as a musical work and a fun sequel to the masterpiece “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983”. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
★ Excellent audience recording of “Irvine performance on June 10, 1983”. A sequel recording from the same recording artist collection as the masterpiece “UNIVERSAL CITY 1983 (Uxbridge 1425)”, this work is also a masterpiece with a rich direct feeling. In addition to “Rockin’ Around (With You)”, “Strangered in the Night”, “What Are You Doin’ In My Life” that I could not listen to in the previous work, it is extremely rare because it is after the main tour.
Cover and 6 songs are also shown. It is a new masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the master sound of a full show with a special feeling.
