SCORPIONS in 2004 returned to the world of orthodox hard rock with “UNBREAKABLE” after a long long experimental journey. Two kinds of original masters who can experience the scene at the same time will be released at the same time.
This work is the second of the simultaneous releases. It is a transcendental audience recording of “November 26, 2004 Los Angeles performance”. As I mentioned in the commentary on “ARROW ROCK FESTIVAL 2004 (Shades 1770)”, which will be released at the same time, “UNBREAKABLE Tour” is also left in the two official works “ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA” and “LIVE AT WACKEN OPEN AIR”. However, I have reported on masterpieces such as “ATHENS 2005 (Shades 1201)” and “UNBREAKABLE GODS (Shades 868)”. First of all, let’s take a bird’s eye view of the whole world tour with such a collection.

This is the 2004-2006 SCORPIONS. I was traveling all over the world, but the Los Angeles performance of this work was “North America # 1” which was the main leg among them. It was a concert corresponding to the 26th performance.
This work, which vacuum-packed such a show, was a super-famous recording that became a hot topic at the time, “beyond the official!” It is a DAT master excavated by our own route, but it is fiercely on and direct. But well, it was before the release of the official “ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA” that it was said that “beyond the official!” I think it’s too much to say now, but it’s not an exaggeration to try playing them alternately just in case!?
Although the timbre is similar to the audience, the strength of the straight core, the fine details, and the vivid separate feeling are by no means inferior. In addition, “ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA”, which was released at the height of the loudness war, was a nori dialect sound that was packed with peaks (as was the case with the studio work “UNBREAKABLE”), but this work is purely natural. . If you take into consideration the ease of listening, you can not deny that “beyond the official”.
A full show that is similar to and different from the two official works “ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA” is depicted with such an ultra-superb & natural sound. There are also repertoires that can not be heard there, so let’s organize them while comparing them.

The simultaneous release “ARROW ROCK FESTIVAL 2004 (Shades 1770)” is also the same “UNBREAKABLE Tour”, but the repertoire that I could not listen to around “Loving You Sunday Morning”, “No One Like You” and “Wind Of Change”. “ARROW ROCK FESTIVAL 2004” was a show that pushed the power up mainly because they wanted to overwhelm the festival’s pair of vans, but this work has both mids and ballads. It is rich in variety and allows you to fully enjoy the original charm of SCORPIONS.
At the time, it was a famous recording that surprised maniacs and was declared “a masterpiece of the tour.” Although it was temporarily erased by the presence of the official video and forgotten, it is a live album that I would like you to pay attention to again because it is a modern era that has overcome the loudness war (sound pressure war). A product that allows you to fully experience the scene where the essence of SCORPIONS-style hard rock is revived with official grade audience sound. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.

本作は同時リリースの第二弾。「2004年11月26日ロサンゼルス公演」の超絶級オーディエンス録音です。同時リリースとなる『ARROW ROCK FESTIVAL 2004（Shades 1770）』の解説でも触れましたが、”UNBREAKABLE Tour”は２つの公式作『ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA』『LIVE AT WACKEN OPEN AIR』にも残され、当店でも『ATHENS 2005（Shades 1201）』『UNBREAKABLE GODS（Shades 868）』といった傑作でレポートしてきました。まずは、そうしたコレクションを交えながらワールド・ツアー全体像を俯瞰してみましょう。

これが2004年ー2006年のSCORPIONS。世界中をくまなく巡っていたわけですが、本作のロサンゼルス公演は、その中でもメイン・レッグであった「北米#1」。その26公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウを真空パックした本作は、当時「オフィシャル超え！」と話題になった超名録音。当店の独自ルートで発掘されたDATマスターなのですが、猛烈にオンでダイレクト。しかしまあ、「オフィシャル超え！」と騒がれたのは公式『ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA』がリリースされる前の話。今となってはさすがに言いすぎ……と思いつつ、念のために交互に再生してみると過言じゃない!?
音色的にはオーディエンスらしさもあるものの、ド直球な芯の力強さも細やかなディテールも鮮やかなセパレート感も決して負けていない。さらに言いますと、ラウドネスウォー真っ盛りにリリースされた『ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA』はピークもパッツンパッツンに詰まったノリ弁サウンドでした（スタジオ作『UNBREAKABLE』もそうでしたね）が、本作はあくまでもナチュラル。聴きやすさまで加味するなら「オフィシャル超え」もあながち否定できないのです。
そんな超極上＆ナチュラル・サウンドで画かれるのは、２つの公式作『ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA』とも似て非なるフルショウ。そこでも聴けないレパートリーも披露されていますので、比較しながら整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。同時リリースの『ARROW ROCK FESTIVAL 2004（Shades 1770）』も同じ“UNBREAKABLE Tour”ですが、「Loving You Sunday Morning」「No One Like You」「Wind Of Change」辺りはそこでも聴けなかったレパートリー。『ARROW ROCK FESTIVAL 2004』はフェスの対バンを圧倒したかったのかアップ主体のパワー押しなショウでしたが、本作はミッドもバラードも硬軟自在。バラエティ豊かにSCORPIONS本来の魅力をたっぷりと味わわせてくれるのです。
当時、マニアを驚かせ「ツアー代表作になる」と断言された名録音。一時は公式映像の存在感に掻き消されて忘れられましたが、ラウドネス・ウォー（音圧戦争）も乗り越えた現代だからこそ再び注目して頂きたいライヴアルバムなのです。SCORPIONS流ハードロックの真髄が甦った現場を、公式級のオーディエンス・サウンドでフル体験できる銘品。どうぞ、心ゆくまで存分に味わい尽くしてください。
