Ry Cooder in 1988 made his third visit to Japan with his solo album “GET RHYTHM” after a long absence. Introducing an original recording that allows you to experience the scene where even Steven Tyler of AEROSMITH appears.
The performance of “June 27, 1988: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan” is included in this work. It is the transcendental audience recording. Speaking of coming to Japan in 1988, the FM sound board of the Nakano Sunplaza performance is also known as a standard, but of course this work is a separate performance. In order to grasp such a situation, let’s unravel from the schedule at that time.

・ June 24: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall
・ June 25: Shibuya Public Hall
・ June 27: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan ← ★ Coco ★
・ June 28: Nakano Sunplaza
・ June 29: Nakano Sunplaza ← * FM broadcast

Above, all 5 performances. It was broadcast on the last day, but this work was a concert before the two performances. This work, which permanently preserves such a show, is a superb live album with “super”. The extra-thick core jumps into your ears without a sense of distance, and the details are super delicate. Although it slightly inhales the sound of the hall, it does not become a sense of space, giving the playing sound and singing voice a thick dynamism and luster. In fact, it is not inferior to the standard sound board of Nakano Sunplaza, but rather this work feels more natural. If the scene wasn’t in Japan, it would have been recorded by Mike Millard.
Actually, there is a reason why it sounds so much. In fact, this work was recorded by a master who is said to be a legend in the history of Japanese recording. At the opening of our shop, you may have often seen “a person who is said to surpass even the prestigious Kinney” and “it is no exaggeration to say that it is a mirror of Japan”, but that person. Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Mick Jagger, Stones, PINK FLOYD, SANTANA, etc., mainly in the 1980s, left recordings that represent the Western music audience recording itself, and recently Linda Ronstadt’s “BUDOKAN 1984 (Zion-) 184) ”, Prince’s“ YOKOHAMA STADIUM 1986 2ND NIGHT (Zion-179) ”, U2’s“ U2 –OSAKA 1989 2ND NIGHT (Wardour-438) ”, etc. became a hot topic. This work is a collection that is directly digitized from such a master’s original cassette.
The sound that exceeds even the official FM broadcast is a full show that the FM sound board does not even reach your feet. After all, the radio broadcast was only a digest along the broadcast frame of less than 45 minutes, but this work is over 2 hours and 20 minutes at a stretch. Let’s organize the set here so that you can feel the large volume.

* Note: “★” marks are songs that cannot be heard on the FM sound board of the Nakano Sunplaza performance.

… And it looks like this. Normally, the songs that you want to pay attention to are marked with “★”, but for this work, please press the number of marks. In the first place, the show itself is different from FM broadcasting, so the set is also different, but even if it is subtracted, it is a digit difference. Of the 21 songs shown in this work, 14 songs, which is 2/3, cannot be heard on the air.
And the contents are also Tokuno. While having a wide range of songs from the early 70’s to the 80’s soundtracks provided in various movies, the two core songs are “BOP TILL YOU DROP” and the latest work “GET RHYTHM”. Especially in the latter, all songs except “Women Will Rule the World” and “I Can Tell by the Way You Smell” were shown, and the members are the same as the album. Rye’s mellow slides and vocals, as well as the plump Fraco Jimenez accordion and Jim Keltner’s supple beats, and the rich vocalization of Terry Evans & Bobby King … all of which are ” It is an extension of “GET RHYTHM”, and the world of the masterpiece expanded by the tension of live performance spreads. The highlight of such a show is “All Shook Up”. Steven Tyler of AEROSMITH who finished the performance in Japan in Yokohama the day before jumped in and participated. You can enjoy the gorgeous co-starring that singing voice and Rye’s slides are intertwined (the word “Kimochii!”
The album “GET RHYTHM” for the first time in 5 years and Ry Cooder in 1988 who came to Japan for the first time in 9 years. It is a masterpiece of a live album where you can fully enjoy the full show with superb sound that transcends even FM broadcasting. It is not a dimension that revives the memories of coming to Japan, but a cultural heritage that should be talked about as a world-class musical work like mirrored recording. Please fully experience with the permanent storage press 2CD.

★ Recording of a transcendental audience of “June 27, 1988: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan”. It is a product directly digitized from the original master of the legendary master who can even be compared to “Japanese mirrored”, and the thick core jumps into the ear without a sense of distance, and the details are super delicate. It is not inferior to the standard FM sound board of Nakano Sunplaza, but rather this work is superior with a more natural feeling. You can fully enjoy the full show, which is more than three times the standard FM broadcast, and Steven Tyler, who was in Japan at “All Shook Up”, also jumped in. A world-class cultural heritage album from Japan.

特に後者は「Women Will Rule the World」「I Can Tell by the Way You Smell」以外の全曲が披露され、メンバーもアルバムと同一。
