It is the release of an outtake collection full of new facts Revelations as the title of 23 years.
In 2007, Katie Melua’s If You Were A Sailboat began with a version that Prince liked and recorded himself. And Revelation. Previously, there was an audience recording of the performance in Paisley Park, but it was a skillful connection of the studio version with an audience sound source (Paisley Park on April 19, 2015) with improved sound quality. We use recordings in very good positions and you can enjoy the finest Revelation. And two different versions of Way Back Home, and Pain has a short beginning, but the sound quality is improved, and Get Blue is a slightly longer version than the existing one. Power Fantastic (Alternate Version) is another version that speaks at the beginning, sings differently, and has different backing. There is a narrative that seems to be Questlove, so it seems that it was when the rare sound source of Prince was played by DJ. The Love Theme by Michel Colombier is a version not found in the original score of the movie Purple Rain. Purple Rain (Long Version) first appeared this time. The original First Avenue 1983 live sound source is before overdubbing of strings etc. at 13:15. However, this time the live sound source is not as it is but those effects are included. The last 10-minute remix of The Most Beautiful Girl In The World sounds a little bad, but it’s a new mix, and it’s different from the remixes of The Beautiful Experience that were distributed to radio stations at the time, such as 1994 Radio Promo DAT. 23年のタイトル通り新事実Revelations満載のアウトテイク集のリリースです。
07年にKatie MeluaのIf You Were A Sailboatをプリンスが気に入り自身で録音したバージョンで始まります。そしてRevelation。これは以前ペイズリーパーク内の演奏をオーディエンス録音したものがありましたが、スタジオヴァージョンに既存より音質向上したオーディエンス音源（15年4月19日のペイズリーパーク）を巧妙に繋げたもので、関係者によるとても良い位置での録音を使っており、極上のRevelationを楽しめます。そしてWay Back Homeの異なる2バージョン、そしてPainは冒頭が短いですが、音質が向上、Get Blueはほんの少しですが既存より長いバージョンです。Power Fantastic (Alternate Version)は、冒頭で喋り、歌い方も、バッキングも異なる別バージョン。クエストラブらしき語りが入っているのでDJでプリンスのレア音源を流した際のものだと思われます。Michel ColombierによるLove Themeは映画Purple Rainのオリジナル・スコアにはないバージョンです。Purple Rain(Long Version)は今回初登場。元となるFirst Avenue 1983のライブ音源は13:15でストリングス等のオーヴァーダビングがされる前のものです。しかし今回のはライブ音源をそのままではなくそれらのエフェクトが入っているのです。ラストのThe Most Beautiful Girl In The Worldの10分のリミックスは音は少し悪いですが新しいミックスで、1994 Radio Promo DAT等の当時ラジオ局に配れたThe Beautiful Experienceのリミックスをまとめたのとは異なるものとなっています。
