The shocking debut of THE POLICE, which was also an incident. Two types of sound board albums that will pour the intense live performance into the brain will be released at the same time.
This work is the first of two simultaneous releases. It is a sound board recording of “Houston performance on March 8, 1979”. Speaking of 1979, it was a time when both the “OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR Tour” and the “REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour” were adjacent, and there were only a number of sound boards left as they were on sale. This is THE POLICE in 1979. The Houston performance of this work was the act of “North America # 1” which will be the main leg in the first half of the “OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR Tour”. It was a ridiculously enriched tour with 41 performances in 40 days, even though we had to move. And the record is Tokuno. Starting with the press masterpiece “BERKELEY 1979 PRE-FM (Wardour-527)”, there are many masterpieces lined up, especially this work was also the day before “DALLAS 1979 SOUNDBOARD”.
And this work, which conveys such a show, is a new master released recently. The monaural and vintage feel is not the type to be advertised as “Official grade!” However, the immersive feeling that the whole body synchronizes with the live performance is tremendous, and the unprocessed vividness is also vivid. Above all, the rushing power of the close-fitting sound board and the explosive performance of the young THE POLICE are really powerful.
A scorching stage that can be called a “live version of OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR” is depicted on such a powerful soundboard. The set is a style that removes the encore “Can’t Stand Losing You” from “BERKELEY 1979 PRE-FM”, but it is different from “Europe #1” “HATFIELD 1979 BBC TRANSCRIPTION LP (Wardour-534)” do.
