1971 Pink Floyd legendary first visit to Japan “Hakone Aphrodite” concert. Many of the original sound sources were incomplete on the audience recording tapes at that time, and the sound quality was unstable and a little sloppy, but with the latest remastered multi-mix sound source, the stereo is surprisingly clear and three-dimensional. It has been reborn as a sound source. The immersive performance of “Atom Heart Mother”, which begins with the opening applause, can be said to be of the highest quality comparable to a sound board sound source. The two CDs contain the full version of the concert on August 7, 1972, with the latest remastered multi-mix sound source. In addition, “Alternate Edit Master” is also included. Following Buffy Sainte-Mary’s “Circle Game” on the same day, Floyd’s four songs have been edited in MC and song order, but they are good sound sources that have been known since the 1970s as original sound sources that were also used in former film images. The sound quality is also a remastered sound source that has been upgraded this time. And in addition to 2CD, “audio file DVD” is also included. Although it is an audio disc that is not a video image, both the multi-mix sound source and the original original sound source without remastering are recorded with the audio option unique to DVD, and it is possible to hear and compare the difference by switching the sound while playing. When you switch, you can hear the difference between the two sounds. In addition, although it is not a video image, a number of valuable photos of “Hakone Aphrodite” are recorded in a slide show for each song, and it is in a format that you can enjoy while playing. In addition, the DVD also includes an “open reel master” sound source that has not been recorded on a CD. It is known as a completely recorded sound source with only 3 songs, which is different from the main part, and in addition to the latest remastered stereo sound source, the original monaural sound source is also recorded at the same time. １９７１年ピンク・フロイド伝説の初来日「箱根アフロディーテ」コンサート。当時の日本では初といえる海外アーティストを迎えた大規模な野外イベントでのピンク・フロイドは箱根芦ノ湖畔というロケーションの中で山からの霧に包まれる自然の演出と相まった幻想的なコンサートとなりまさに伝説の初来日公演として語り継がれてきました。７１年８月６日と７日の２日間行われたこの”箱根アフロディーテ”を記録したライブ音源は７０年代から複数存在しておりこれまでもその音源自体は知られてていましたが海外フロイド音源研究者有志により今回そうした数ある音源から厳選しさらに細部に渡って修復及び分離解析されたリストア音源を元に最新リマスターされたマルチ・ミックスのステレオ音源でコンサート全曲を完全再現。オリジナル音源の多くは当時のオーディエンス録音テープで不完全であったり音質も不安定で篭り気味であったりしていましたが最新リマスターされたマルチ・ミックス音源では驚くほどクリアで立体感のあるステレオ音源に生まれ変わっています。オープニングの拍手喝采から始まる「アトム・ハート・マザー」の臨場感溢れる演奏ひとつとってもサウンドボード音源に匹敵する極上クオリティといえるでしょう。ＣＤ２枚にはその最新リマスターされたマルチ・ミックス音源による７１年８月７日のコンサート完全版を収録。さらに追加で”オルタネイト・エディット・マスター”も収録。同日のバフィ・セントメリー「サークル・ゲーム」に続くフロイドの４曲はMCや曲順が編集されていますがかつてのフィルム映像にも使われたオリジナル音源として７０年代から知られてた良好音源でその音質も今回アップグレードされたリマスター音源となっています。そして２ＣＤに加え”オーディオファイルＤＶＤ”も付属。ビデオ映像ではないオーディオ・ディスクですがＤＶＤならではのオーディオ・オプションでマルチ・ミックス音源とリマスター無しのオリジナル元音源の両方が収録されており音声切り替えでその違いを聴き比べることが可能で再生しながら切り替えると双方の音の違いが一聴瞭然です。またビデオ映像ではないものの曲ごとに「箱根アフロディーテ」の貴重な写真の数々をスライドショウで収録しており再生しながら楽しめる形式となっています。さらにＤＶＤにはＣＤ未収録の”オープン・リール・マスター”音源も収録。本編とは別音源で３曲のみながら完全収録された音源として知られているものでこちらも最新リマスター・ステレオ音源に加えモノラルの元音源も同時収録されています。ピンク・フロイド伝説の「箱根アフロディーテ」５０周年記念にお届けする２ＣＤ＆オーディオＤＶＤ最新スペシャル・コレクターズ・エディション大推薦注目のタイトル登場です！
