The popular Ultimate Archive series. It is a 2CD that you can enjoy again with plenty of live sound sources. Of course, all tracks are 51 songs perfect sound board.
An unmastered version of the precious THAT’S ALL RIGHT, and live at “MUSIC FOR MONTSERRAT” in London on September 15, 1997, live at Cavern Club, Liverpool on December 14, 1999, September 1999. Band members are David Gilmour, Mick Green, Ian Paice and Pete Wingfield at the live performance at PETA Party Of The Century in Hollywood on the 18th! “HEY JUDE” on track 20 of CD2 is “MUSIC FOR MONTSERRAT”, but it is a different mixed version. The last three songs are studio mono mix versions. Anyway, the track related to RUN DEVIL RUN is perfect with this.

* “RUN DEVIL RUN” is a rock’n’roll cover album made in 1998 by her wife Linda’s proposal during her lifetime. In addition to the covers of musicians who had a strong influence on Paul such as Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins, “Run Devil Run”, “What It Is”, “Try Not To Cry” 3 Contains new songs. Few of the covered songs are well known as standard today, and minor songs such as single B-side songs are also selected, giving a glimpse of Paul’s roots. Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Mick Green, Dave Mattacks, Deep Purple’s Ian Paice and other talented people are backing, and powerful performances and rejuvenated Paul’s powerful vocals are the big part of this work. It’s attractive. The producer is Chris Thomas, who has participated since Wings’ “Back to the Egg”.

※「RUN DEVIL RUN」とは 1998年に妻リンダの生前の提案によって作られた、ロックンロールのカヴァー・アルバム。エルヴィス・プレスリー、カール・パーキンスといった、ポールに強い影響を与えたミュージシャン達のカヴァーに加え、「ラン・デヴィル・ラン」、「ワット・イット・イズ」、「トライ・ノット・トゥ・クライ」の3曲の新曲が収められている。カヴァーされた楽曲は、今日スタンダードとしてよく知られているものは少なく、あえてシングルのB面曲のようなマイナーな曲も選ばれており、ポールのルーツを垣間見ることができる。ピンク・フロイドのデヴィッド・ギルモア、ミック・グリーン、デイヴ・マタックス、ディープ・パープルのイアン・ペイスなど実力派がバックを務め、迫力ある演奏と、若返った感のあるポールの力強いヴォーカルがこの作品の大きな魅力である。プロデューサーは、ウイングスの『バック・トゥ・ジ・エッグ』以来の参加となるクリス・トーマス。
