MOTORHEAD reached the final and strongest trio in 1995, which marks the 20th anniversary of its formation. Introducing a must-see video that will make the anniversary collection perfect, making it the most important turning point.
[The final and strongest trio was completed in 1995] This work was shot at “November 11, 1995 Buenos Aires Performance”. This is the multi-camera pro shot. It was the 20th anniversary of MOTORHEAD, which was formed in 1975, but it was also an era of counterattack. He dropped out of Epic in the wake of the mass dismissal of HR / HM by a record company in the early 90’s. The energy of that anger was put into the two major radicals “BASTARDS” and “SACRIFICE” and struck the scene. However, on the other hand, Wasel lost his motivation and withdrew. As a result, it led to the birth of the final trio “Remy / Phil Campbell / Mikkey Dee” that was immovable until Remy died. This is the whole picture of “SACRIFICE Tour”. The album was completed in 1994, and Wazel left without waiting for its release. At the start of the tour in 1995, the “final model MOTORHEAD” was born, which returned to the trio for the first time in 12 years. This work was the final performance of “South America # 1”, where such a final form of tour reached maturity.
This show was also broadcast on TV, and has long reigned as a masterpiece video representing the 90’s. This work is a DVD version of the highest peak master. In fact, its quality is excellent. It should be a so-called “South American professional shot”, but its visual beauty and shooting technology are far from that image. The camera work that makes up for the trio with little movement is extremely active, and the zoom that makes Remy’s warts super up is perfect. As expected, the resolution is analog, but the vintage feel is a good idea, and it looks like a finely digitized version of the official video of the 1980s.

Above, all 40 years. Their first live was our masterpiece live album “FIRST EVER GIG 1975 (Zodiac 166)”, but since then MOTORHEAD has released an official video work at a turning point. 10th anniversary “THE BIRTHDAY PARTY”, 30th anniversary “STAGE FRIGHT”, Remy’s last 2015 featured “CLEAN YOUR CLOCK” …. Among them, “1995” is the only 20th anniversary that is overlooked by the official side. This work is the best pro shot of such an anniversary year. … And it looks like this. While very similar to 1998’s strongest live album “EVERYTHING LOUDER THAN EVERYONE ELSE”, it covers the deadly songs of the golden trio / 4 members. It is a culmination show suitable for the 20th anniversary.
The final trio “Remy / Phil / Mickey” was immovable for the latter 20 years of the 40-year history of MOTORHEAD. These three people made 10 out of 22 studio albums and performed 1493 out of 2752 live performances. They are also called the “strongest” because of their powerful performances, but they were undoubtedly the longest and largest in their achievements. This work is a symbolic professional shot of 1995 when such three people were solidified. It is the highest peak version.
This work itself is a masterpiece of music video that overflows with a sense of fulfillment of the “final form” that does not need to be added or subtracted anymore, but by lining up with the official work, it will complete the “MOTORHEAD Anniversary Collection”. .. 【最終・最強のトリオが完成した1995年】
そんな本作が撮影されたのは「1995年11月11日ブエノスアイレス公演」。そのマルチカメラ・プロショットです。1975年結成のMOTORHEADにとって20周年の節目だったわけですが、同時に逆襲の時代でもありました。90年代初頭に起きたレコード会社によるHR/HM大量解雇の煽りをモロに受けてEpicから脱落。その怒りのエネルギーを２大過激盤『BASTARDS』『SACRIFICE』に込め、シーンに叩きつけた。しかし、その一方でワーゼルが窮状にやる気を失って脱退。結果、レミーが亡くなるまで不動の最終トリオ「レミー／フィル・キャンベル／ミッキー・ディー」の誕生へと繋がっていったのです。そんな状況をイメージするためにも、当時のスケジュールも振り返っておきましょう。

これが“SACRIFICE Tour”の全体像。アルバムは1994年中に完成しており、その発売を待たずしてワーゼルが離脱。1995年のツアー開始時には、12年ぶりにトリオに戻った「最終形MOTORHEAD」が誕生しました。本作は、そんな最終形態のツアーが円熟に達した「南米#1」の最終公演でした。
このショウはTV放送もされ、以前から90年代を代表する名作映像として君臨してきた定番。本作は、その最高峰マスターからDVD化したものなのです。実際、そのクオリティは絶品。いわゆる“南米プロショット”のはずなのですが、その映像美も撮影技術もそのイメージからはほど遠い。動きの少ないトリオを補うようなカメラワークは極めてアクティヴですし、レミーのイボまで超アップになるズームがばりばり。さすがに解像度だけはアナログ感覚ではあるものの、そのヴィンテージ感まで良い案配の味になっており、まるで80年代の公式ビデオを精緻にデジタル化したような映像美なのです。
