Motley Crue / Hiroshima 1994 Dat Master / 2CDR / Shades
Live at Hiroshima Yubin Chokin Hall, Hiroshima, Japan 4th October 1994
MOTLEY CRUE in the John Corabi era, which became a black history at the mercy of the times while making a masterpiece. Introducing an original recording that allows you to experience the only performance in Japan that is too precious.
The performance of “October 4, 1994: Hiroshima Postal Savings Hall” was imbued with this work. It is the best audience recording. Speaking of MOTLEY CRUE in the Korabi era, it has a more thorough black history than VAN HALEN in the Gary Cherone era and IRON MAIDEN in the Blaze Bayley era, and it is rarely treated even in bootlegs. Normally, I would like to introduce only the schedule of performances in Japan, but since this is a good opportunity, let’s review the overall picture of the activities.
● 1994
“March 15” MOTLEY CRUE “released”
・ June 9-August 29: North America (49 performances)
* October 3: Osaka Castle Hall
* October 4: Hiroshima Postal Savings Hall ← ★ This work ★
* October 5: Fukuoka Sun Palace
* October 7: Urawa City Culture Center
* October 8: Tokyo Bay NK Hall
* October 10: Sendai Sunplaza
* October 11 Nippon Budokan
・ December 16: West Hollywood performance
● 1995
・ January 30: Pasadena performance
* Note: “*” mark is the schedule of the Japan tour.
This is the outline of the activities of MOTLEY CRUE in the Korabi era. The live was realized in all 51 performances in North America and 7 performances in Japan. The Hiroshima performance of this work was the second concert of such a performance in Japan.
This work recorded at such a show is truly the finest brand. It is digitized directly from the original DAT cassette, and its freshness is tremendous. Basically, it is a powerful sound with a very thick core approaching it, but there are no dubbing marks or deterioration over time, and there is no chattering or distortion even at the peak when the band is united. Although it is clearly an audience recording in terms of timbre, there is no sense of squishyness in the dense response, and the separate feeling that does not mix even if the performances of the four people overlap is also wonderful. The sound is not “precious because it is a performance in Japan”, but it is a world level that enthusiasts from all over the world will be pleased with wherever the performance is. It is a famous recording that bears the heavy responsibility of “an official substitute for the Korabi era”.
It is a full show of the precious Korabi era that is drawn with such a superb sound. If the live performance of the mysterious work “MOTLEY CRUE” number is also valuable, the classics dyed with a collaborative voice are also valuable. Here, let’s organize both separately.
● Classics (8 songs)
・ Dr. Feelgood / Kickstart My Heart / Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)
・ Others: Live Wire / Shout At The Devil / Home Sweet Home / Wild Side / Primal Scream
● John Corabi era (7 songs)
Motley Crue:’Til Death Do Us Part / Power To The Music / Uncle Jack / Misunderstood / Loveshine / Hooligan’s Holiday
・ Cover: Revolution
…… And it looks like this. The Beatles cover “Revolution” will also be performed, but it was also a limited repertoire only in 1994. The “MOTLEY CRUE” number, which looks surprisingly live, is also delicious, but what catches my ears is the classics sung by Korabi. While making only “DR. FEELGOOD” a little thicker, select one deadly song from each album. It is also a show that redraws Motley of each era with Korabi. And this looks strange. Of course, the difference between Vince and the famous songs in my memory is strong because of the completely different voice quality, but on the other hand, Korabi’s husky voice is perfect for the wildness of the song itself. What’s more, the song brings out the rock’n’roll groove well. Well, as expected, the high-pitched “Kickstart My Heart” may be tough, but on the contrary, “Home Sweet Home” becomes a new attraction with the bluesy astringency explosion. If Korabi had been singing since his debut … It’s also a live album driven by such delusions.
Of course, these playful words can only be said because the Korabi era ended in bubbles. And it is also a luxury that is possible because the live album with the best sound is left. The “rare era that officials ignore” is the true essence of bootlegs. This work is the MOTLEY version of the Korabi era. In a sense, one of the most important Motley collections. Please enjoy it with Omoto DAT sound!
★ The best audience recording of the performance of “October 4, 1994: Hiroshima Postal Savings Hall” during the John Corabi era. The sound digitized directly from the Omoto DAT boasts a powerful core that approaches Guigui, but there are no dubbing marks or deterioration over time, and there is no chattering or distortion even at the peak when the band is united. There is no squishy feeling in the dense response, and the separate feeling that does not mix even if the performances of four people overlap is also wonderful. Classics dyed with a korabi voice is also a valuable “official substitute” that allows you to experience a heap of full shows at its best.
