ターで完全収録。元になった当時のTV放送は実際の曲順ではなく後に
プログラム資料を参考にしたセットリストも書籍化されていますが、ここで
は当時のコンサート体験や証言を元にオープニング「愛の喜び」から単
独アコースティック・セットを経てギャラガー＆ライルの共演そしてオーケ
ストラが加わっていくステージ進行の曲順で収録。当時4日間で全7回公
演が行われており正確な資料がないもののほぼ実際のセットリストを再
現した内容となっています。当時レコーディングでは発表されていないビ
ートルズ・ナンバー3曲をはじめ「ドナ・ドナ」「青春の光と影」といったフォ
ーク・カバー等ライブならではのレパートリーでその実力を発揮したメリ
ー・ホプキンの初来日公演。ビートルズの日本公演同様に当時TV放送
で残された大変貴重な記録として見逃せないアーカイブ音源といえるで
しょう。”BLACKPOOL U.K. 1970”は初来日公演直後に英国で行われた
ツアーから8月14日ブラックプール公演を良好オーディエンス録音で収
