It is a title that couples the rare Marvin Gaye soundboard live with few live opportunities. The main event was a live performance at the Budokan in 1979. This is a stereo sound board in which the sound image of the musical instrument is clearly separated on the left and right. The original master had a 0.5 second blank noise between songs and a few digital noises called “pachi”, but they have been carefully corrected. The sound is well balanced. なかなかライヴの機会が少なくレアなマーヴィン・ゲイのサウンドボード・ライヴをカップリングしたタイトルです。メインに据えられたのは1979年来日時の武道館でのライヴ。楽器の音像が左右綺麗に分かれたステレオ・サウンドボードです。オリジナルのマスターには曲間に0.5秒のブランク・ノイズと数箇所に『パチ』というデジタルノイズがありましたが丁寧に修正されています。音のバランスも整えられています。ディスク2にカップリングされているのは諸説ありますが1978年のヨーロッパでのライヴであろうというのが有力視されている音源で、こちらも高音質なサウンドボードですがディスク1の日本公演が一枚上。いずれも素晴らしいグルーヴのバンド演奏に支えられ奇跡のヴォーカルを堪能できます。特に日本公演の後半はメドレー的につながって演奏されており素晴らしいの一言。ソウル・ファン必携アイテム。
