Speaking of blues guitarists, B.B. is Freddie, Albert and other three major kings are Otis Rush and Buddy Guy. I’m sure many rock fans are familiar with it. Luther Allison is the master who speaks the guitar with the best squeeze play, although it is not as well known as these super big names. In 1970, you can still enjoy the aggressive performance of Luther around 30 years old. Moreover, clear high-quality sound board recording. As mentioned above, the name is low, probably because there are few co-stars with white rock bands, but I would like you to add this sound source to your favorite player as a starting point. The explosive power of the squeeze guitar that is familiar to the three major kings and the buddy guy is overwhelming, and the wild vocals on the guitar with a distorted tone are inevitable for rock fans. In addition, the saxophone is also featured in this live, and a hot battle is fought in the whole story.
ブルース・ギタリストと言えばB.B.にフレディ、アルバートらの三大キングにオーティス・ラッシュ、バディ・ガイあたりでしょうか。ロック・ファンにもご存知の方が多いと思います。これらの超大物に知名度こそ劣るものの最高のスクィーズ・プレイでギター喋らせる名手が今回登場のルーサー・アリスンです。1970年、まだルーサー30歳前後のバリバリ攻めた演奏が堪能できます。しかもクリアな高音質サウンドボード収録。白人のロック・バンドとの共演が少ないせいか前述の通り知名度こそ低いわけですが、この音源をとっかかりにぜひフェイバリット・プレーヤーに加えて頂きたいギタリストです。三大キングらにも通じるスクィーズ・ギターにバディ・ガイにも劣らぬ爆発力は圧巻で、歪んだ音色のギターにワイルドなヴォーカルはロック・ファンの心もつかむこと必至。更にこのライヴではサックスも大きくフィーチャーされており全編において絡んで熱いバトルを繰り広げています。
