This time, Liam Gallagher had a one-time solo performance since he was coming to Japan mainly for an event, but that’s why the day was so exciting. The excitement was high even before the show started, making fans wonder, “Is this England?”
In the first place, from the moment he arrived in Japan, Liam started sending out a series of Japanese tweets, starting with “Hello,” and it seems that the excitement surrounding his visit to Japan has further accelerated.
However, no sound source recording that enthusiastic night has appeared on the internet. This is probably due to the overwhelming popularity of smartphone videos these days. Therefore, this time we independently obtained audience recordings made by enthusiasts who participated in Toyosu.

The sound source provided this time has truly excellent sound quality. After all, it captures the enthusiasm that made people say, “Is this England?” very realistically, while also capturing Liam’s singing voice surprisingly close.
What is most noteworthy is that Liam’s voice and the band’s performance were not interrupted (at all!) by the chorus that echoed throughout the entire live performance, and the main character of the sound image was Liam’s recording state. .
However, this phenomenon is even more likely to occur with today’s digital audiences and when recording in small venues like Toyosu, but while the sound quality was clear, there was an impression that the performance lacked sharpness.
Therefore, for this release, we have equalized the original sound source. As a result, the clarity of the performance improves dramatically. What’s even more pleasing is that the contours and closeness of Liam’s voice are much better. Shouldn’t it be released by press now? The result was as good as I thought it would be.

The audience recording provided this time has a wonderful balance, and it is exquisite that the large chorus can be heard from behind rather than over the performance. When played at high volume from the speakers, it’s so realistic that it brings back memories of the day itself, and it’s also really satisfying to listen to with headphones.
What’s more, it even captures the moment before the live performance, when the BGM Stone Roses’ “I Am The Resurrection” started playing and the venue got so excited that it looked like it was going to explode.
And from the moment Liam appeared, I was overwhelmed by the excitement. There is no doubt that Liam, who was already in great shape, was motivated by such excitement, and as a result, it was a great night.

The scene where the Oasis era’s “Roll It Over”, which was added to the repertoire last year and became a big topic of conversation, can finally be heard in Japan is also recorded in the best sound quality. Furthermore, among the solo songs, “Shockwave”, which was finally performed in Japan, looks great live and the chorus’s dialogue is wonderful.
In this way, the setlist, which perfectly blends Oasis classics and his own solo songs, has a longer playing time than his past performances in Japan, and this time it was released as a two-disc set.
And the best part was “Are You Experienced?”, a Jimi Hendrix cover that was not listed in the setlist that day. It was the best surprise that a cover that had only been shown once at an event in the UK so far would be shown at the finale of the Japanese performance, but this can also be enjoyed with the best sound quality.
It’s already been a week since that exciting night. Enjoy Liam Gallagher’s best live performance to your heart’s content with the best sound quality!
