Liam Gallagher embarked on a short tour of South America in November, just before the release of the movie documenting his legendary return to Knebworth. Because of the enthusiastic locality, every gig is showing enthusiastic excitement.
The culmination of this was the Corona Capital festival in Mexico. Ironically, the event name was named “Corona” long before the virus that is currently spreading, and at the event held using the Hermanos Rodriguez Circuit, the circuit where F1 is held. , the entire stage was broadcast. It was performed several times this summer, including the aforementioned Knebworth, but in South America it became a regular performance every day from the middle.
In the first place, it surprised maniacs all over the world that Liam started singing this song, which had been sung with the key lowered even during the Oasis era, in 2018, returning to the original key, but this time the second chorus will start. By having the audience sing, I can rest my throat well (laughs). This was a spectacle seen on other days in South America as well.
And in the version that can be seen on YouTube now, the audio of “Diamond in the Dark” has been muted, but of course this is a complete version with no defects and the highest quality version Liam’s latest stage Enjoy.

早くも今年の伝説と化した感のあるネブワースへの帰還をドキュメントした映画の公開を直前に控え、リアム・ギャラガーは11月に南米を回る短期ツアーを敢行。熱狂的な土地柄ゆえ、どのギグでも熱狂的な盛り上がりを見せています。
その締めくくりとなったのはメキシコのコロナ・キャピタルというフェス。皮肉なことに現在蔓延しているウィルスよりもずっと前からイベント名に「コロナ」が冠せられており、F1が行われているサーキット場であるエルマノス・ロドリゲス・サーキットを使って行われるイベントにおいて、そのステージのすべてが放送されたのでした。当然ながらオフィシャル・レベルのプロショット映像。

過去に放送されたローリング・ストーンズやガンズと言ったアーティストの映像を例に挙げるまでもなく、南米のライブ映像は何かしら不備が生じがちで、会場にアンビエントのマイクが設置されなかったのでしょう、音声自体は完璧なステレオ・サウンドボードでありながら、臨場感は低め。
おまけにライブ序盤二曲、特に「Morning Glory」ではギターの音がペラペラで、一聴すると現在のPAアウト・サウンドボードではないかと錯覚しそうなほど。また各曲のテロップでリアムでなくイベントのトリを務めたアークティック・モンキーズの曲名が表示されてしまうという手違いには苦笑させられることかと。

幸いにも演奏のバランスはすぐに改善され、揺るぎない音で支えるバンドをバックにリアムはハイテンションに歌い上げてくれます。その頂点と言えるのが今年のリアムを代表するレア・レパートリー「Roll It Over」。そのエンジン全開な歌いっぷりを最高画質で見られるのは眼福。
また臨場感が低い状態でありながも随所で凄まじい盛り上がりが聞き取れることから現場は相当な熱狂であったと推測され、実際にリアムが何度も鎮めようとするほど。
それほどの盛り上がりを前にリアムが気分を悪くするはずもなく、むしろ序盤二曲では珍しく身振り手振りまで交えて（！）観客を煽る姿もまた映像だからこその見どころですし、オアシス・クラシックだけでなくリアム・ソロからの名曲「Once」でも凄まじい盛り上がりが捉えられています。

そして今回の南米ツアーではそれまでのツアーと同様、当初のセットリストではビーディ・アイ時代の「Soul Love」が歌われていましたが、途中から南米のオーディエンスをより沸かせるであろう「Some Might Say」へと変更。
先のネブワースを始めとして今年は夏の間に数回ほど披露されていましたが、南米では途中から連日披露されるレギュラー扱いとなったのでした。
そもそもオアシス時代ですらキーを下げて歌っていた本曲を2018年から元キーに戻してリアムが歌い始めたことは世界中のマニアを驚かせた訳ですが、今回は二回目のコーラスの出だしをオーディエンスに歌わせることで上手く喉を休めて（笑）います。これは南米他の日でも見られた光景でした。
そして現在YouTube上で見られるバージョンでは「Diamond in the Dark」の音声がミュートされてしまった状態でアップロードされてしまっていますが、もちろんこちらは不備もない完全版かつ最高画質バージョンにてリアム最新ステージをお楽しみいただけます。
