その音質たるや、21世紀の現在のデジタル録音の時代においてさえも不可能ではないかと思わせる超高音質なもので、このまま公式リリースしても耐えうるクオリティを誇っている。会場の空気をそのまま現代に伝えてくれる奥行きのあるレンジの広い音像、クリアに伸びる高音に響き渡る重低音、ミラードの録音は数多くあれど、この『LISTEN TO THIE EDDIE』は彼の仕事の中でも最高傑作のひとつであろう。ステージがバンド・メンバー4人の最高のパフォーマンスが融合した演奏であるならば、そこにテーパーとしてミラードも加わり、5人の邂逅によってこの名音源が生まれたと言うべきであろう。とにかく演奏が奇跡なら録音も奇跡的なものであり、それらが見事に合致し、結実したのが本作なのである。

この日の演奏は3つの音源の存在が確認されている。本作のディスク1から3は前述のようにミラードが録音した最高のオーディエンス録音ソース1（EDDIE）をメインに、後述するソース2（ERIK）と3（KENNY）で補完するという編集がなされている。このメイン・ソースは近年発掘された「Flat Trasfer」をリマスターしたものが使用されている。これまでも充分な高音質であったが、更にそれが鮮度抜群のクリアで重厚な素晴らしい音質となっている。

内容的にも、ほとんど瑕疵のない完璧なソース1であるが、「Ten Years Gone」の中盤におけるカットが唯一の曲中カットであった。この箇所はソース2（ERIK）で補完することによって完全収録となっている。また細かい点であるが「Since I’ve Been Loving You」演奏後と「Kashmir」の演奏後に、それぞれソース１(EDDIE)ではカットがあり、そこもソース2（ERIK）で補完している。音楽部分ではないが、ボンゾがドラムスをタタンと叩く音がこれまでの既発盤では全て欠落していたので、これらの該当箇所に関しても丁寧に編集補完作業をしており、既発盤に比べ収録時間も長く過去最長収録となっている。また本作ではディスク７〜９に収録しているソース3（KENNY）によって、今回初めてアキレスの前のギターソロにおける20数秒の欠落部分が埋まる事になり、史上初めてコンサートの頭から終わりまで欠落なく通して聴くことが出来るようになった。
