A series of people involved in our shop that has shaken collectors around the world with the series of the highest peak masters in history. The 70’s pro shot, which is the latest bullet, is excavated at the same time with 3 titles! Of course, it will be released as a press DVD that permanently preserves cultural heritage quality.
This work is the first of three simultaneous releases. It is a multi-camera pro shot of “January 31, 1975 San Francisco performance”. Two other titles released at the same time are in 1976 after the break, but only this work is in 1975. The video before the break is valuable in itself, but even so, we have introduced leaked masters such as “DETROIT 1975” and “LARGO 1975”. First, let’s check the positional relationship of the video collection based on the schedule at that time.

This is the 1974/1975 KISS. 1975 is a time when three tours “HOTTER THAN HELL Tour” / “DRESSED TO KILL Tour” / “ALIVE! Tour” are mixed, and the San Francisco performance of this work is “HOTTER THAN HELL Tour”. It was a concert that was the 10th performance of “North America # 4b”.
Some of you may have already figured it out, but this video has been formalized in “KISSOLOGY VOLUME ONE: 1974-1977”, but this work is neither a copy nor a remaster. Like the masterpieces so far, it is a stakeholder extraction master brought from its own route. The quality is just the best ever. First, it’s long. You can also see the scene before the performance that was not in the official version, and the gaps between songs that were officially pinched are left as they are. From these things, it is thought that this work is the original, but in fact, not only that, but the system itself is different. There is no white line noise or distortion that was in the official version (you can enjoy the fire blowing of “Firehouse”, which was disturbed and difficult to see). On the contrary, there may be momentary distortions that are not official, but the total amount seems to be less in this work.
This alone is epoch-making enough, but more than that, the quality that runs through the entire story is wonderful and natural. The official version has enhanced highlights with digital processing, which caused fine noise and details to be crushed, and there were scenes where the outlines of Paul and Jean’s hair were assimilated with the darkness. This work is so beautiful that such processing is not necessary, and the details are left clear.
“In addition, the audio also exceeds the official level.” The official was fluffy and the vocals were bad, but this work is clear and vivid. I thought “This is what vintage video is like” in the official version only for black and white video, but it was a misunderstanding. Originally it was a more beautiful and easy-to-hear sound.
The master quality that has been upgraded in both quality and quantity is the passionate performance of the precious “HOTTER THAN HELL Tour”. Since there are few records at that time, it is difficult to assert whether it is a full set or not, but the number of songs in about an hour is probably full. In terms of composition, “LARGO 1975” is similar although it is a separate tour, so let’s organize it while comparing.

… and it looks like this. You can enjoy valuable moving “Got To Choose” and “Watchin ‘You” with multi-camera pro shots with the best selection of songs that concentrated and reduced the initial two works.
“HOTTER THAN HELL Tour” representative pro shot, which has exceeded the official video and audio, is its upgraded master. A piece that once again beats the brain that has been paralyzed by shocking works and vividly shows off the amazing flavor of the outflow route. Although it is a monochrome pro shot that was also adopted in the official “KISSOLOGY”, this work is the first public upgrade master brought about by the leaked route. The scenes before the performance and between songs that were not officially included are uncut, and the images that have not been digitally processed are natural and beautiful, and you can enjoy the fire blowing of “Firehouse”, which was disturbed and difficult to see in the official version. 本作は３種同時リリースの第一弾。「1975年１月31日サンフランシスコ公演」のマルチカメラ・プロショットです。同時リリースの他２タイトルはブレイク後の1976年ですが、本作だけは1975年。ブレイク以前の映像はそれ自体が貴重ですが、そんな中でも当店では『DETROIT 1975』『LARGO 1975』といった流出マスターをご紹介してきました。まずは、当時のスケジュールを基に映像コレクションの位置関係を確認してみましょう。

これが1974年／1975年のKISS。1975年は３つのツアー“HOTTER THAN HELL Tour”／“DRESSED TO KILL Tour”／“ALIVE! Tour”が混在する時期であり、本作のサンフランシスコ公演は“HOTTER THAN HELL Tour”。「北米#4b」の10公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
もうピンと来ている方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、この映像は『KISSOLOGY VOLUME ONE: 1974?1977』でも公式化済みですが、本作はそのコピーでもリマスターでもない。これまでの傑作群と同様、独自ルートからもたらされた関係者抽出マスターなのです。そのクオリティは、まさに過去最高。まず、長い。オフィシャル版にはなかった開演前シーンも観られますし、公式ではつままれていた曲間もしっかりそのまま残されている。こうした事から本作の方が元だと考えられますが、実はそれだけではなく系統自体が異なる。公式版にあった白線ノイズや歪みもない（乱れて見づらかった「Firehouse」の火吹きもしっかりと楽しめます）。逆に公式にはない瞬間の歪みがあったりもしますが、総量としては本作の方が少ないようです。
これだけでも充分に画期的ですが、それ以上に全編を貫くクオリティが素晴らしくナチュラル。公式版はデジタル処理でハイライトを強化しており、そのせいで細かいノイズと共に細部まで潰れ、ポールやジーンの髪も輪郭が暗闇と同化しているシーンもありました。本作はそんな加工が必要ないほど美しく、細部まで鮮明なまま残されているのです。
さらに音声もオフィシャル超え。公式はモコモコしていてヴォーカルもヌケが悪かったのですが、本作はクッキリ鮮やか。モノクロ映像だけに公式版では「ヴィンテージ映像ってこういうもんだよな」と思いましたが、それは誤解でした。本来はもっともっと美しく聴きやすいサウンドだったのです。
そんな質・量ともアップグレードしたマスター・クオリティで画かれるのは、貴重な“HOTTER THAN HELL Tour”の熱演。当時は記録が少ないため、なかなかフルセットかどうか断言しかねるのですが、約１時間の曲数ボリュームは恐らくフル。構成的には別ツアーながら『LARGO 1975』が似ていますので、比較しながら整理しておきましょう。
