New item from the Montreux Jazz Festival 2022 this year. Janie McPherson joins John McLaughlin & The Force Dimension as a guest. With Janie’s participation, the band, which had a slightly stiff impression, became lively like a fish out of water. Not only the piano, but also the cool and soulful vocals show McLaughlin’s guitar and unison. Also, McLaughlin’s 80-year-old play is guaranteed to be awe-inspiring. The streamed version is the master, and there was noise like popping on the whole, but in the CD sound source, these noises in dozens of places were visually checked in all waveforms and corrected as much as possible. I have Therefore, CDs are the main item for enjoying music. The video is cut from the top and bottom from the beginning, and because of the noise mentioned above, it is positioned as a bonus disc. Still, the performance scene is a high-quality professional shot that you can fully enjoy, and it is a reasonably priced item that is well-organized as a set.

今年2022年のモントルー・ジャズ・フェスティヴァルからの新作アイテムです。ジョン・マクラフリン＆フォース・ディメンションにゲストとしてジェイニー・マクファースンが参加。このジェイニーの参加により少し硬い印象だったバンドはまるで水を得た魚のようにイキイキ。ピアノのみならずクールでソウルフルなヴォーカルでもマクラフリンのギターとユニゾンを見せたりと大活躍。またマクラフリンの80歳とは思えぬプレイっぷりには目を見張る事請け合い。ストリーミングされたものがマスターとなっており全体的にプチプチといった音飛びのようなノイズがありましたが、CDの音源ではこの数十か所に及ぶノイズを全ての波形で目視確認し可能な限り修正してあります。従って音楽を楽しむにはCDがメインとなるアイテム。映像は元より上下が切られており、前述のノイズもあるためボーナス・ディスクくらいの位置付けになります。それでも演奏シーンは充分楽しめる高画質プロショットで、リーズナブルながらセットとしてまとまりの良いアイテムとなっております。
