… and it looks like this. This work is also a live album that connects the interval between the two works. This work, which vacuum-packed such a show, is a great recording with a strong core on. Although it can not be mistaken for a sound board in terms of timbre, the performance sound penetrates the atmosphere like a laser beam. Especially wonderful is the rhythm section. Simon Phillips’ virtuosity is so detailed that the structure of the drum kit comes to mind, and Mo Foster’s bass also makes each attack sound stand out beautifully, and the groove created by connecting them is mellow. It feels closer than the leading guitar. Another thing worth mentioning is the luster. Because it is so powerful, the bass drum’s striking peaks may be slightly distorted, but overall it is smooth and fat. The sound also creates rich thickness and dynamism (without hiding the details).
A full show with such a rich sound, including rare songs that are unique to those days. The set will be the same as the Japanese performance, but it is also a good opportunity, so let’s organize it here.

Next, I had to wait until 1989 for “GUITAR SHOP” to embark on a full-scale world tour. ……と、このようになっています。本作は２作の合間を繋ぐライヴアルバムでもあるわけです。そんなショウを真空パックした本作は、オンで力強い芯が素晴らしい名録音。音色的にサウンドボードと間違える事はありませんが、その空気感を演奏音がレーザー光線のように貫いて来る。特に素晴らしいのはリズム隊。サイモン・フィリップスの妙技はドラムキットの構造が目に浮かぶほど細やかですし、モ・フォスターのベースもアタック音の１つひとつが綺麗に浮き立ち、それが連なることで生まれるグルーヴも芳醇。主役を張るギターよりも間近に感じられるほどです。さらに特筆すべきは艶っぽさ。あまりにパワフルなため、バスドラの打音ピークが少々歪み気味になる事もありますが、全体的には滑らかでファット。鳴りが（ディテールを隠さずに）豊かな厚みとダイナミズムも生み出しているのです。
そんなリッチ・サウンドで画かれるのは、当時だからこそのレア曲も美味しいフルショウ。セットは日本公演にも準じますが、良い機会でもありますので、ここで整理しておきましょう。
