そんなショウは以前から録音も知られていたのですが、本作はそれとはまったく異なる全世界初公開のオリジナル・マスター。これまでも極上級の名作を連発してきた「Mike B」コレクションですが、本作もその金看板を汚さない……と申しますか、さらに一層輝かせる素晴らしさ。空気感がクリアに透き通り、そのド真ん中を力強い芯が真っ直ぐに貫く。驚きなのは、その鮮やかさ。１音１音の輪郭がくっきりと浮き立ち、音数の多い複雑なアンサンブルが折り重なっても混じり合ったりしない。しかも、その密度は手応えまで感じるほどにパンパンに詰まってスカスカ感がまるでなく、それこそレーザー光線のようなキリッとサウンドなのです。
