EXTREME has finally come to Japan for the first time in 7 years. Two of the best titles will be released at the same time, which will be the first report of the Japan tour that is currently underway.
This work is the second of two simultaneous releases. Spectacular audience shot of the “September 21, 2023: Hitomi Memorial Auditorium” performance. This Japan tour was so successful that additional performances were added, and four performances were held in the Kanto area alone. It is also a simultaneous release of two works, and the position of the show may not be clear just from the title. First of all, let’s check the positional relationship of each work on the schedule.

・September 17th: SENDAI GIGS
・September 19th “YOKOHAMA 2023”
・September 21st: Hitomi Memorial Auditorium ←★This work★
・September 22: Hitomi Memorial Auditorium (additional performance)
・September 25th: Village Hall
・September 26th: Zepp Namba
>>Now here<<
・September 27: Zepp Haneda (additional performance)

That’s all 7 performances. In Tokyo, a total of 3 times were held: 2 times at Hitomi Memorial Auditorium and 1 time at Zepp Haneda. This work was the first day in Tokyo following Yokohama.
This work, shot at such a show, is a picture-perfect scenic video. The photo was taken from the right side of the stage (Nuno Bettencourt side), and the distance from the stage is about 6th row. The key point is the height of the viewpoint, passing directly over the heads of the audience in front and looking directly at the stage. Of course, the audience in the front was also raising their hands and getting excited, but it was a perfect balance that almost concealed the members’ faces, but didn’t hide them, and Gary Cherone’s “that” excitement raised the temperature of the venue. I can feel it through my skin.
Actually, it doesn’t have a very bold zoom, but that’s not a drawback, so it’s amazing. The sense of stability is great because it doesn’t force the zoom, and since you don’t have to pull back every time to check the situation, you can stay focused on the highlights/members and keep them in the center of the screen. What’s more, it is closer to the sense of the human eye without a zoom function, making it a more realistic experience-based image.
As I was writing this, I got the feeling that zooming was a problem, but of course that’s not the case. In the first place, the scenery in this work is so close that it feels dynamic even without zooming, and the scenery is so spectacular that you can concentrate on the stage without having to zoom in and push the audience in front of you out of the screen. This sight is only possible because the original visibility is exceptionally good.
What’s even more surprising is the sound. Although it doesn’t appear on the screen, the PA is probably nearby. The extremely thick core presses against you without any sense of distance. Moreover, it’s beautiful. It seems that there were many people who felt that the sound was explosive at the scene, but from this work I can hardly believe that it was. The direct feel and fine details of a soundboard are firmly delivered, and there are no cracks or coarse tastes in the sound. The bass drum has a strong hitting sound, and each hit is clear, and the bass has a series of glossy attack sounds, creating a rich groove. On the other hand, the guitar that goes wild in the middle and high frequencies is also clear, as if it were a broadcast soundboard.
The latest warm full show is depicted with such ultra-tight recording and super-stunning scenery. At our store, “RENO 2023: THE VIDEO (Shades 1841)” was popular as a preparatory title before coming to Japan, so let’s compare and organize the Japanese performance set at the end.

*Note: “★” marks are songs that could not be heard in the preliminary video work “RENO 2023: THE VIDEO”.

…and it looks like this. Basically, it will be the same as the overseas performance, but “#Rebel”, which was temporarily dropped, will be revived. You can enjoy the real pleasure of the first new work in 15 years.
Good sound, good picture, and great experience. It is a video masterpiece that allows you to fully experience the tour that is currently underway. No matter which venue you go to, this is a piece that will turn your vague short-term memory into a solid memory. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
★Spectacular audience shot of the “September 21, 2023: Hitomi Memorial Auditorium” performance. Although I was seated close to the front 6th row, I had a high viewpoint, passing directly over the heads of the passengers in front of me and looking directly at the stage. Of course, even if the customers in the front are raising their brushes and getting excited, the members can still be seen and enjoyed. The sound is so beautiful that the thick core presses against you without any sense of distance, yet it doesn’t crack or chatter. This is a video masterpiece that allows you to fully experience the latest tour as soon as possible, with good sound, good pictures, and an outstanding experience.

SENDAI GIGS
Zepp Namba
・9月27日:Zepp Haneda(再追加公演)
