A CD of the extremely rare EPIC-produced 2-disc promo LP “OUT OF THIS WORLD: WORLD PREMIERE WEEKEND (A2S 1230)”. The contents are very interesting. First of all, the main thing is the instrumental version of all the songs of “OUT OF THIS WORLD”. What’s interesting is that this is not just a karaoke track without songs. It’s a separate mix from the album, and each song is put together in a short length of about one and a half minutes.
For example, you may have heard the HR / HM name phrase suddenly flow from a TV program you are watching casually. It’s a condensed recording of delicious riffs and phrases that come with that feeling. I don’t know how it was actually used, but unlike karaoke and long karaoke, the name phrase “OUT OF THIS WORLD” pops out like a toy box. The actual LP included the same take as the official album, but in this work only rare scenes were carefully selected and recorded.
After such an instrumental edition, 3 tracks are recorded. First of all, “Europe Yesterday Collage” is a collage of famous songs leading up to “OUT OF THIS WORLD”. This is a masterpiece edit with songs. The history of EUROPE is summarized in about 5 minutes, and it is a highly complete finish that you will not get tired of listening to it over and over again. A program call with a lot of mood is also recorded, probably because it was used for the intro of the program.
“Promos & Intros” also calls the program name. Not only the narrator of the program, but also five members will call each. Perhaps it was used when proclaiming on another show. The final “Interview Clips with Europe” is an interview as the title suggests. For about an hour, he will talk about his history and “OUT OF THIS WORLD” (the name of Yngwie Malmsteen will also appear).

The fact that such a program was organized shows how the release of “OUT OF THIS WORLD” was an incident. This work is one that the air of such an era flows out super-realistically. Rare track collection with a strong promotion color rather than a musical work. That is why it is a masterpiece with a fierce sense of the times. By all means, it is an officially produced brand that you should enjoy.

激レアなEPIC制作の２枚組プロモLP『OUT OF THIS WORLD: WORLD PREMIERE WEEKEND（A2S 1230）』をCD化。その中身は非常に面白い。まず、メインとなるのは『OUT OF THIS WORLD』全曲のインスト・バージョン。面白いのは、これが単なる歌抜きのカラオケ・トラックではないところ。アルバムとは別ミックスで、各曲１分半ほどの短い尺にまとめられているのです。
例えば、何気なくて見ているテレビ番組からHR/HMの名フレーズがふっと流れるのを聴いた経験があると思います。あの感じで美味しいリフ、グッと来るフレーズが凝縮収録されているのです。実際にどのように使われたのかまでは分かりませんが、ダラダラと長いカラオケとは違って『OUT OF THIS WORLD』の名フレーズがオモチャ箱のように飛び出してくるトラックなのです。LP現物には公式アルバムと同じテイクも含まれていましたが、本作ではレア・シーンのみを厳選収録しました。
そんなインスト編の後は、３トラックを収録。まず「Europe Yesterday Collage」は、『OUT OF THIS WORLD』に至るまでの名曲をコラージュしたもの。こちらは歌入りで、なかなかの傑作編集。EUROPEの歴史を約５分間に集約しており、何度も繰り返し聴いても飽きない完成度の高い仕上がりになっている。番組のイントロに使われたのか、ムードたっぷりな番組コールも収録されています。
「Promos & Intros」も番組名をコールするもの。番組のナレーターだけでなく、５人のメンバーがそれぞれコールする。恐らく、他の番組で番宣する際に使われたのでしょう。最後の「Interview Clips with Europe」は、タイトル通りのインタビュー。約１時間にわたり、これまでの歩みや『OUT OF THIS WORLD』について語られます（イングヴェイ・マルムスティーンの名前も出てきます）。

こうした番組が組まれること自体、いかに『OUT OF THIS WORLD』のリリースが事件だったのかが分かる。本作はそんな時代の空気が超リアルに流れ出る１枚なのです。音楽作品と言うよりは、非常にプロモーション色の強いレア・トラック集。だからこそ時代感が猛烈な傑作。是非、お楽しみ頂きたいオフィシャル制作の銘品です。
