Headless, the premier jazz collector’s label, has reissued the valuable titles of handmade labels for collectors, which were distributed only in a small part, from the official master who took over. Hawk is here. Rare titles are re-appearing at affordable prices with reissue emblems and new back jackets.
A collection of rare sessions with plenty of Don Cherry volume. The original release is the 2008 Headless Hawk label. Thirteen years have passed since the recurrence of the necromancer was leaked. Because there was plenty of volume, I couldn’t get a heavy back to organize the data. However, when he released Don Cherry on the Necromancer label of the same reissue series, it was quite popular, so he lifted his back. The sessions from 1963 to 1971 are included in chronological order, and the members who participated in each session are also clearly listed. There is only Don Cherry, which is popular in Europe, and most of the sessions are held in Sweden and Norway, and the members are mostly European. A must-have item for those who like spiritual and ECM styles. Among the members are the interesting names such as the spiritual jazz mogul Pharoah Sanders and Terry Riley, the representative of the minimal music field along with Steve Reich and Philip Glass.

ドン・チェリーのヴォリュームたっぷりレア・セッション集です。オリジナル・リリースは2008年のヘッドレスホーク・レーベル。ネクロマンサーの再発から漏れ、13年の月日が経ってしまいました。なぜならヴォリュームたっぷりの為データ整理に重い腰が上がらなかったため。しかし同再発シリーズのネクロマンサー・レーベルでドン・チェリーを出したところなかなか好評があったため重い腰を上げたという次第です。1963年から1971年までに行われたセッションが時系列で収められており、各セッションに参加したメンバーもしっかり記載されています。ヨーロッパで人気の高いドン・チェリーだけありほとんどのセッションはスウェーデンとノルウェーで行われており、メンバーもほとんどヨーロッパ勢です。スピリチュアル系やECM系が好き系な方には必携アイテム。メンバーにはスピリチュアル・ジャズ大御所ファラオ・サンダースや、スティーヴ・ライヒやフィリップ・グラスと並ぶミニマル・ミュージック畑代表格テリー・ライリーなんて興味深い名も。
