Includes the second day of the 2019 Wayne Shorter Legacy Celebration. It bears the name of Wayne Shorter, but unfortunately there is no Shorter himself, so don’t be afraid. Based on Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, and Brian Blade, who were working with Shorter at the time, Terrace Martin, who is also famous for producing new generation jazz such as Robert Glasper and Kentric Lamar, participated. On this second day, Branford Marsalis, a thoroughbred in the jazz world, will be the head of the game. All songs by Wayne Shorter. In the encore, he played the masterpiece “Mascarello” from the Miles era. Although it is an audience recording, it is a well-recorded advanced audience sound source.

2019年に行われた“ウェイン・ショーター・レガシー・セレブレイション”の二日目を収録。ウェイン・ショーターの名を冠していますが残念ながらショーターご本人は居りませんので悪しからず。当時ショーターと共に活動していた、ダニーロ・ペレス、ジョン・パティテュッチ、ブライアン・ブレイドが土台となり、ロバート・グラスパーやケントリック・ラマーと言った新世代のジャズ勢のプロデュースでも有名なテラス・マーティンが参加。この二日目はアタマを務めるのはジャズ界きってのサラブレッド、ブランフォード・マルサリス。全てウェイン・ショーター作の曲達です。アンコールにはマイルス門下時代の名作『マスカレロ』を演奏。オーディエンス録音ですが良く録れた上級オーディエンス音源です。
