AEROSMITH in the “PUMP” era, which has renewed its heyday by sending out masterpieces that are also called the best masterpieces of the Geffen era. Two new masterpieces will be released at the same time!
Engraved on this first work is “August 26, 1990 Utrecht performance”. It is a super-superb audience recording when performing in the Netherlands performance of the “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour” that swept Europe as a festival tour. “WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990 (Zodiac 574)” released at the same time was an upgrade master of a large standard recording, but this is the first appearance sound source excavated through its own route. It is also an ultra-high-quality live album like a soundboard, raised by the Omoto master.
Before the quality that bothers me, first of all is the position of the show. Let’s look back from the overall picture of the world tour aiming for success over the 70’s.
● 1989
《“Pump” released on September 12th》
・October 18-November 26: Europe #1 (26 performances)
・December 15-31: North America #1a (10 performances) ← *LANDOVER 1989
● 1990
・January 1-March 31: North America #1b (45 performances)
・ April 17-May 28: North America # 2 (28 performances)
・ June 17-July 28: North America # 3 (29 performances)
・August 15-September 3: Europe #2 (10 performances) ← Coco
・ September 8: Las Vegas performance
・ September 12-22: Japan (7 performances)
・ September 29-October 15: Australia (8 performances)
This is the 1989/1990 “PUMP Tour”. Among them, the “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour” is “Europe # 2” about a year after the album was released, but it was not a full performance. From this “Europe # 2”, “WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990” and co-starring video “MARQUEE 1990” with Jimmy Page were also left, so let’s zoom in on the schedule further.
● Details of “Europe #2”
・ August 15: Dublin
* August 18: Donington
・ August 20 “MARQUEE 1990 (with Paige)”
* August 23: West Berlin
* August 25: Dortmund
*August 26: Utrecht ← This work
* August 30: Bologna
・August 31 “WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990”
* September 1: Mannheim
*September 3: Paris
*Note: The “*” marks are “MONSTERS OF ROCK” performances, and the “・” marks are headline performances.
… and it looks like this. The Utrecht performance of this work was a semi-bird performance of MOR performances with WHITESNAKE, POISON, and QUIREBOYS. This work, which vacuum-packed such a scene, is a shocking new excavation master. Recently, KISS officials outflow master has made a big break at our shop, but this work was also brought from the same route. Moreover, it is a branded product that has been digitized directly from the Omoto master.
And what’s more, it’s superb. Compared to the genuine FM sound board “WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990”, the tone has an audience-like tone, but the quality itself is not lost, so I am surprised. Each instrument has an abnormal outline and separate feeling, and it is clear and clear up to one note. Stephen’s singing voice is not just one word of the lyrics, but the nuances contained in it are a sense of the ear.
The reason why such a sound was realized was probably the environment. “Stadion Halgenwald”, which was the scene, is an open-type soccer stadium that is wide open in the sky, and there is no sound echo. Of course, if it is far from the PA, it will become empty, but there is no such worry in this work. The sound emitted from the PA is inhaled without a sense of distance, and it is a fiercely direct super-superb sound. It is just an imagination, but considering from the excavation route, it may be recorded at the official seat.
AEROSMITH was not satisfied with simply reviving, and stepped into a dimension that could not have been achieved in the 70’s. It is a live album where you can experience the hot stage at its finest. If you enjoy rare songs only for a short set for festivals, we recommend “WINTERTHUR MUSIKFESTWOCKEN FESTIVAL 1990”, but if you want the momentum of the enriched set and the feeling of the scene at its peak, this work is the only place. A new excavation master that boasts the real pleasure of the audience that can not be tasted by any sound board, while also having the transcendental quality of line recording. Please fully experience the permanent preservation press CD.
★ Superb audience recording of “August 26, 1990 Utrecht performance”. It is a newly excavated recording brought by its own route and is a digitized product from Omoto Master. The core of zero echo is super clear only in the open stadium, and each instrument has a great outline and separate feeling. Stephen’s singing voice is not just a word of the lyrics, but the nuances contained in it are a solid ear sensation. You can experience the super-excellent scene of the “PUMP” era, which has reached its heyday beyond the 70’s.

The main press CD is a superb original recording vacuum-packed by the people concerned with AEROSMITH, which was trying to achieve success over the 70’s. It is truly a piece that can be called a cultural heritage. The person concerned who recorded the new masterpiece also recorded POISON that appeared before AEROSMITH. Therefore, the sister work that allows you to enjoy the glorious scene more deeply is also decided as a special bonus.
That’s why this work is imbued with the same “Utrecht performance on August 26, 1990” as the main press CD. It is the thick audience recording. As mentioned in the commentary in the main part, this show is the Dutch version of the “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour”, and a total of four groups, AEROSMITH, POISON, and QUIREBOYS, will appear with WHITESNAKE as a bird. This work is the POISON edition.
At that time, POISON was in its heyday, having just released “FLESH & BLOOD”. There are many masterpieces such as the official live album “SWALLOW THIS LIVE” and the professional shot “IRVINE MEADOWS 1991”, so let’s organize them together with the schedule at that time.
● 1990
・ February 11: Troy Performance
《“FLESH & BLOOD” released on July 2nd》
・ August 3: Santa Clarita Performance
・ August 15th-September 4th: Europe (12 performances) ← Coco
・September 19-December 31: North America #1a (62 performances)
● 1991
・January 3-March 28: North America #1b (53 performances) ← *Official SWALLOW THIS LIVE
・ May 12-July 7: North America # 2 (32 performances) ← *IRVINE MEADOWS 1991
・September 5: Appearance at MTV Video Music Awards
This is POISON in 1990/1991. Until then, POISON had traveled around North America, Japan, Oceania, etc., but this year was their first time to invade Europe. The Utrecht performance of this work is the 7th performance of the “Europe” tour. It was also a concert 11 days after our masterpiece “PLAYS ROCK CITY (LANGLEY-164)”.
Such a work is the best… or rather, a thick sound. Actually, as soon as the performance starts, a roar suddenly explodes. But that’s only for 30 seconds. He adjusted the equipment settings immediately and found the best settings in less than a minute. After that, it will transform into a sound approaching the AEROSMITH edition. Yes, this recording is also a test recording to capture the best AEROSMITH from the head.
Although it’s called a “trial”, it sounds great from the middle of the first song, and there’s no doubt that the classic songs of the past performed by the golden four are bad. The ultimate Greatest Hits, which is a further concentration of “SWALLOW THIS LIVE”, and the enthusiasm that burns to conquer Europe are overwhelming.
Monsters of Rock in 1990, when heroes representing old and new American HR invaded Europe. It is a sister work that allows you to experience the two stages with direct sound. Utrecht site set on fire by POISON and burned down by AEROSMITH. Please enjoy plenty with the same recording artist collection.
