AC / DC in 1982, which sent “FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK (WE SALUTE YOU)” to No. 1 in the United States and was extremely climax in both name and reality. Introducing a masterpiece of sound board that the stage rushes into the brain.
The engraving on this work is “December 6, 1982 Brussels performance”. That sound board recording. “1980-1982” is too special for AC / DC enthusiasts. Not only is it a commercial heyday and a series of studio masterpieces, but the live performance is just amazing. In 1983, Phil Rudd, who left the group, was also a “golden five”, and the momentum in the midst of a great success exploded. In particular, Brian Johnson immediately after joining is overwhelming, and the screaming has a killing power. After that, the “five golden people” were revived, but the real groove and the sharpness of the young roar are different in dimension. AC / DC is often referred to as “always the same,” but 1980-1982 is irreplaceable in any other era. It was a time of climax.
However, there are very few records of such a golden age. Not only was the official live album not made, but some of the remaining soundboards were short, and the quality was not good right now … The lack of a deciding board at the height of the great AC / DC is just a loss in rock history. It’s all about pain. However, it has not completely disappeared into the darkness of history. As mentioned above, some soundboards are also left behind, and although imperfect, there is “sound proof” that conveys the awesomeness of the climax. This work is one of them, and it is a historic live album that teaches “the last climax”. Let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the two climax tours “BACK IN BLACK TOUR” and “FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK TOUR” so that you can experience the situation.

・ June 4-10: Japan # 2 (5 performances)
・ September 29-October 22: UK (19 performances)
・ November 26th-December 12th: Europe # 3 (10 performances) ← ★ Coco ★
This is the heyday of AC / DC. The imposing world tour, which includes two visits to Japan, is tremendous (it is strange that there were so many performances but no full soundboard was left …). Even so, the Brussels performance of this work is the final stage of the latter half as well as the latter half. It was the 7th performance of “Europe # 3”.
Such a show is famous for having a sound board left above all. As I repeat, it’s not a complete version, it’s about an hour long, but the sound is more than enough. The historic riff is bitten at zero distance, and the powerful yet mellow groove and the five viscera are completely synchronized. Of course, Brian’s razor voice also invaded the brain with his feet. The freshness of the tape is excellent, the tape twist and deterioration are minimal, and it seems as if the AC / DC 37 years ago is raging in my head. Also, although it is short, the contents are special. Let’s organize the recorded contents here.
● Bon Scott era (6 songs)
・ The Jack, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Bad Boy Boogie, Whole Lotta Rosie, Sin City, Highway To Hell
● BACK IN BLACK (5 songs)
・ Hells Bells, Have A Drink On Me, Shoot To Thrill, Back In Black, Rock’N Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution
… And it looks like this. In the Bonn era, the best songs were selected evenly and beautifully from each album, and the rest were all “BACK IN BLACK”. Speaking of “FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK TOUR”, you would expect new songs “COD”, “Put the Finger on You”, “Let’s Get It Up”, and “Inject the Venom”, which are extremely rare in the entire history of AC / DC. However, unfortunately it has been completely omitted. Instead, it’s also a super-concentrated vest, but the one that catches the eye is “Have A Drink On Me”. This song was not played in “BACK IN BLACK TOUR” and first appeared in 1982. Even if a 1980/1981 full soundboard is unearthed in the future, it should not be recorded, and the soundboard recording that can be heard at the peak era performance is extremely valuable.
The climax of AC / DC is the culmination of rock music. It’s a shame that it takes about an hour to return, but it’s nothing but bliss to be able to enjoy such an extremely hard rock and roll with a sense of synchronization at the level of invasion into the brain. A sound board album that concentrates the super best of the golden age with a fierce live performance. Please experience it with this work.
★ There is no cut or noise in the divided part, which was an existing problem, and you can listen to it from the beginning to the end with the best sound board without stress. Of course, the pitch is also accurate.
