The ultimate tour “EDDIE RIPS UP THE WORLD TOUR” that made the world alive with the initial number limited set from “Iron Maiden” to “Piece of Mind”. The gift release is decided to be the best video that you can experience the highlight performance where the late Clive Burr also appeared.
It is “September 2, 2005 London performance” that is sealed in such a work. This is a superb view audience shot taken at the traditional venue “Hammersmith Apollo” that has created many legends. Speaking of “EDDIE RIPS UP THE WORLD TOUR”, the completely official-class masterpiece pro shot “GOTHENBURG 2005: The Pre-Broadcast Master” is also famous, so let’s check the position of the show as well.
・ May 28-July 9: Europe (20 performances) ← * GOTHENBURG 2005
・ July 15-August 20: North America (OZZFEST: 21 performances)
・ August 26-September 2: UK (4 performances) ← ★ Coco ★
This is the whole picture of the initial reprint tour. North America was a shortened set because it was a participation in OZZFEST 2005 (the tour where the raw egg incident happened), but Europe is a single full set. At the beginning of the tour, the final four performances that went around continental Europe and returned from North America were in England. Among them, the Hammersmith performance of this work is a highlight among the highlights that tells the triumphant return to local fans. It was a night of world tour Chiakigaku.
This work recorded at such a show is a ridiculously spectacular view. It was shot from the back seat on the left side of the stage (close to Dave Murray), but for some reason the viewpoint is high. You can pass over the arena spectators at almost the same height as the members on the stage and look directly at the stage. As a matter of fact, I can’t shoot the left end of the stage from an angle, so Dave’s turn is a little small, but I can watch the stage where the front four people are rampaging.
Moreover, the bold zoom is powerful. Bruce Dickinson and Eiso Rian Smith’s upper body fills the screen, but the digital image quality is just like a professional shot, and the sense of stability is tremendous. I think I’m probably using a tripod, but if it’s not as strict as Maiden, I think it must be a staff shoot or a venue setup camera.
What you can enjoy in such a special seat is the site of “EDDIE RIPS UP THE WORLD TOUR” that did not come true no matter how much you wanted in Japan. It’s basically the same set as “GOTHENBURG 2005”, but it’s also a good opportunity, so let’s organize it.
● Diano era (10 songs)
・ Iron Maiden: Prowler (★) / Remember Tomorrow (★) / Phantom Of The Opera / Iron Maiden / Running Free / Sanctuary
・ Killers: Murders In The Rue Morgue (★) / Another Life (★) / Wrathchild / Drifter (★)
● Dickinson era (6 songs)
・ The Number of the Beast: Run To The Hills / Hallowed Be Thy Name
・ Piece of Mind: The Trooper / Where Eagles Dare / Revelations / Die With Your Boots On (★)
* Note: The “★” mark is the last rare song on this day.
… And it looks like this. The theme is the DVD “THE EARLY DAYS”, so there are a lot of delicious revival songs. After that, we also performed reprint tours such as “SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME WORLD TOUR” / “MAIDEN ENGLAND WORLD TOUR”, but there were plenty of early songs (marked with ★ above) that could not be seen there. In particular, this day is a tour Chiaki Raku, so the last performance (at the moment) is complete.
And, the mood of the home greeted by a big chorus is the best, delighted with such a super delicious set. The enthusiasm that NWOBHM revived in all songs blows out, but the peak is the Angkor break after all. The members return to the stage, guided by a call that shakes the venue, but in the center is Clive Burr. It appeared in a wheelchair whether multiple sclerosis had already progressed, but he was surrounded by all the members and showed that smile.
The Maidens who flew from London to the world in the early 80’s and the fans who actually saw it off. Clive is in the center … Although it is an “EDDIE RIPS UP THE WORLD TOUR” that is too delicious as a music concert, the emotion that dwells in this work is more than that. A masterpiece of video that allows fans from all over the world to experience a memorial night from the special seats. Please take this opportunity to fully enjoy it.
UP THE IRONS !!!
