クイーンは1975年の初来日以来、6度の来日公演で合計50回のコンサートを日本で行っている。最後の来日公演が1985年、『ザ・ワークス』をリリース後のツアーである。ツアーの締めくくりとして、前年から続く長期ツアーの最終地が日本であった。この時の日本公演は全5公演の日程で行われた。東京で3公演、名古屋で1公演、そして大阪で1公演の全5公演。本作は、最終日1985年5月15日大阪城ホール公演を収録している。南アフリカでコンサートを強行したことで非難を浴びていた時期のクイーンにとって、日本の忠実なファンと歓待に心休まる思いがしたのではないだろうか。本作は50回を数えるクイーンの来日公演のまさに最後のコンサート、日本のファンが目にした最後の姿を超高音質で完全収録したタイトルである。美しいピクチャー・ディスク仕様の永久保存がっちりプレス盤。日本語帯付き。
